HOH Force won their 2nd winner's bracket game this morning beating the Long Island Heat 1-0 in the bottom of the 7th, avenging a 1-0 pool game loss. Force has only given up 1 run in 4 games. Next up at 1:15 against Tradition White (?).

Lions is right....the ohio teams are having to play each other in the winner's bracket which I guess says a lot for our Ohio teams, but certainly bites since we are sending each other to the losers bracket!

As Lions said, rest of the day is a wash...games that were waiting to be played were the Wave vs MC Madness and HOH Force vs Akron Sapphires. Still very cool that we are all in the final 8 of the winners bracket! Go BUCKEYES!

First Bracket game: Madness 6 - New Jersey Insanity 1

The Maddogs were told 1st bracket game at 2:45 Thursday so we had the girls arrive at 1:30 for warm-ups. As soon as we got into the park, we were told that we had to play as soon as possible. (Two #1 seeds were scheduled to play due to the blind draw and one of them complained until it got changed). So they made us play the time slot prior to the one we were assigned without giving our team any warning. Our pitchers warmed up for 15 minutes while the rest of the team threw and then they forced us to take the field or forfeit. Whoever was in charge said "just let the girls play" when we asked for more time. I said "we want to let the girls stretch and do soft-toss first". Oh well, we lost.

So sorry to hear that. . .let's just say the tournament has been more about money than safety. IMHO.

Assuming you won from the above, but FYI, the TD has listed it on the website as Cental Jersey as the winner. Listed score on the bracket shows Sapphires as 2 and Central Jersey as 5.

Isn't this about par for course here this week?

Madness lost; but it has been one hell of a ride! We took 5th place and are so very proud of our team. For a first year organization and a 15u team, we have great expectations for next year!
