Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Tim, heard about her at pitching lessons last night, same leg/bone that plagued her last year. Better to get it taken care of now, heal and be ready for spring/ summer and College. We all are in this FP Family and hope for a speedy recovery. Hope you, Debbie and Boulder have A Great XMAS.... Best wishes to all ...... Gary

Thanks Gary, you and yours have a happy and safe holiday...... tell Bethany to take it easy her senior season,,,,,,,,,,, save some of that pitching for college ;)

Greenville is always 'fun' to play at the beginning of the year to see how we stand...my DD pitching debut as a frosh was against them...12 runs in 2-2/3 innings...'nuff said

Our schedule this year will be a nice run up to playing in the GWOC next year, my daughter talked to Jordan last night and she will be ready to go for the spring. All of us here in Greenville look forward to playing our old friends in the GWOC.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

I am defiantly looking forward to high school season. Can’t wait. It seems like there is a lot less hype then last year for some reason. I know some teams have lost some of there key seniors but i would like to think that softball this year will be even better but I guess it will be the teams that find replacements quickly for unfilled positions. I think now that Greenville is not in D1 a surprise team could make it to regionals. I think we have 4 or 5 teams in the GWOC that could make it. I think we are catching up to the Cincinnati teams. I am very excited for the talent that is coming to Northmont as freshman and sophomores the next two years to fill are missing positions left by graduating seniors.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

trying to get some new faces in hear who know GWOC softball anything new from the teams. pitchers and catchers report pretty soon. was looking at the GMAC thread and there already getting at each other. Not seeing it from this thread like it was last year.
Geeting excited for some of the talent that i hear is coming up for Northmont. Could actually put together a freshman team theres so many good players but would not have time to find a coach make a team up.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Its simple.......... the teams that have been Dominant simply are not Dominant any longer. Not alot of crowing from the regulars. To many teams in a rebuilding phase. It will heat up as the season grows nearer. Its quiet also because Greenville dropped to D2 let them come back to the GWOC for softball next season and it will get Loud real fast lol.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Okay I will start it up.......Burg lost 6 seniors last year ......but.........the JV team went undefeated last year and scrimmaged Varsity twice....beating them 3-2 the first game and losing 4-3 the second scrimmage....although we will miss the 6 that left because they were great people......the talent level might even be a bit better than last year all things considered.....so a rebuilt team......kinda...sorta.....but these girls have been playing travel ball together since they were 10.....nice to have a great local Summer program to feed the program with.

The Warriors at Wayne will return everybody but one senior so with some luck we will make a run at things this year. Pitching catching and defense are in place from last year were working on the offense.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

I got a chance to watch Wayne and Fairborn play a couple weekends ago. Both Teams will do well again this year. I also saw Centerville down at SWOBAT and Paul also will have a nice Team. Also I watched this summer the young lady at Springfield pitch (CC Debarlo?) and she will keep them in games. All of these Teams will give each other and all of the other Teams in the GWOC fits. As for Lebanon they lost two real nice players and as always they will be hard to replace. But they have good leadership, along with great experience on the mound, in control of the infield and anchoring the outfield. It will be a fun year to watch them all play again this year. Good Luck to all of the Teams.

With just a couple seniors, the Elks may very well have a bunch of juniors on the varsity field this season, representing travel teams such as the Xpress, Static, Lady Charmers, a few sophomores from the likes of the Doom and Hawks and possibly a couple freshmen. But if you ask me I will still say we will come in last in GWOC Central - I like being the underdog!! ;&

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

lol...........last in the GWOC.....highly unlikely......there are several teams in the GWOC that on any given day can get it done.......Fairborn, Fairmont, CVille, Lebanon, Beavercreek, Wayne, NMont..... several teams in that mix that are going to require A games to beat them.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

They have started to update the schedules for each team on the GWOC website. I already see some interesting matchups with some cincinnati teams and GWOC teams.
