so your grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncle and a couple cousins are in town and want to come watch your Dd play some softball over the weekend... how and when do you tell them that they have to pay $5 or even $10 a person at the gate? is it part of Biden inflation or something else?
Some places in Ohio are charging $10 a person for one day gate fee. 3 days.... $30 a person? seriously? why, what, and how can anyone say this is legit?

We played at Lasers last weekend and parking fee is still $5 a day.
However....... Consession prices, through the roof!! I was silly enough to want a Mt. Dew Friday and it was $4! Yes $4 for a bottle of Dew. I enjoyed that Dew like it was the last one on earth. Lol.

It's like everything else in our world. Gas, Groceries, Everything is going up in price.
Thanks Slimmy Joe. You know people that voted for that turd are ashamed.

i too noticed the dramatic increase in concession stand prices at Berliner this year. On the plus side, at least the food is good, wide selection and good service.

And gate fee at Berliner is still $5 for cars, and trucks.

Did just get our notification for florida event. Gate fee is $15 per person per day, or $46 for the week.

You are correct. We know where our money is going there. Right back into the park and employees.
Not exactly. That park is run by the SPORTS department of the Columbus Recreations and Parks. The gate fees become part of the SPORTS department budget and they spend it wherever they choose. I was paying for parking back in the 90's when the park was still named Greenlawn. If the gate fees went to just Berliner, the entire park would be under a dome, the grass cut by scissors and the roads made of gold by now.

well at least we know 3-4 years ago they spent $5+ million dollars, probably closer to $10, to finish turfing the fields and build dugouts. So, you can see where the money goes even if some is going to other sports or locations.

Sheer Madness is now charging $10 a day or a weekend pass for $20. BTW, non-parent volunteer coaches also were mandated to help the money grab.

Yes, I was very shocked when I was told on Friday morning. after waiting in a line longer than any I have ever experienced at Berliner, that I, a non-parent volunteer coach, had to pay $20 to park my vehicle... It is one thing when a park mandates something that the tourney doesn't have control over - but when it is the tourney - SMH!

I'm assuming that's per day? Berliner/City of Columbus only charges $5 a day...at least they used to up through last year. Does that mean that the extra $15 is going in the TD's pocket?

when I was looking to host one of my bigger tournaments there because we were running out of room at the current location the city Columbus told me that they charge five dollars per day and that if I wanted to make anything off the gates I would have to tell them how much they would charge and then they would reimburse me after terminal was over anything over five dollars per car a day

Berliner is the only park you can actually see where the $$ is being spent.

100% agree and somehow they still manage to keep the entry fee, sorry gate fee at $5. Amazing how that works. I wish we could play all of our tournaments there.
