Sidney player Rebecca Thornton. Becca took a line drive to the face last night. She has several facial fractures and a fractured nose. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

She spent last night in the hospital...she's developed an infection in one of her sinus cavities. She's a trooper!

In our prayers.

Had an umpire tonight that was so tight .That there was three home runs hit and three line drives off of pitcher bodies . In a sue happy world surprized an ump like this does not end up in court.
Both pitchers where wearing mask in the third inning.

Good News, Becca pitched her first game last night against Trotwood. She struck out 9, walked only 1, and allowed only 2 hits. She fielded two shots back up the middle. It was great to see her back on the mound for the first time since the injury!! Congratulations Becca on your fine return!
