Need some prayers for one of our Ohio girls at Premier Tourney in Huntington Beach, CA

All of my familys thoughts and prayers are on a Chicago Bandit player, Emily Anderson, who took a shot to the face at the 18U Premier Girls Fastipitch Tourney tonite. I hope all our friends here on OFC will join me in praying for her speedy recovery.

She was pitching when a shot was hit at her and she was unable to protect herself. She is being treated a local hospital and word right now is she has numerous fractures to her facial bones. The reports from the field that she is being transfered to a hospital that specializes in her injury.

This is all second hand at this point, but my wife and my daughter are devastated about her getting injured. I may be overstepping my boundaries but I thought it important that we all have her in our hearts at this time.

I can only hope that all turns out well for her and her family. My families hearts and prayers are with her at this important time in her life. I can only hope that her recovery is speedy. I can't imagine what I would do if this was one of mine.

All my thoughts are with the Anderson family, and we hope for a speedy recovery for a very special girl

That is every parent's worst nightmare, no matter which side of the field you happen to be sitting on.

I'm sure the girl that was in the batter's box will need some time also, to recover from such a traumatic event.
