The format for sluggerfest has been changed for the rest of the weekend.
It has now become a swim meet. Already signed DD up for backstroke. LOL

Coaches Players and families,
CoachSDS is correct - we have cancelled the rest of the weekend based upon the weather and what the park has gotten in the way of the past 5 1/2 hours.

While this is not the way I wanted the weekend to go - I can't convince Mother Nature to cooperate today and tomorrow. The fields are saturated

I am in the process of getting ahold of everyone to let them know.

Mother Nature has not cooperated for us this weekend.
Yes, CoachSDS is correct - I have pulled the plug on the weekend - reluctantly.
The fields at Rivershore are saturated as it has rained from 7am this moring.
The forecast is not in our favor for a safe playing condition for the girls.

I am in the process of calling every coach.

My parents really need to know the schedule. If you announce that play will begin on Friday, you need to let teams know their pool schedule ASAP so travel and time off plans can be made.

Play is to begin in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sluggerfest website announces that all weekends begin with Friday play.
Pool play Friday, double elimination tournament Saturday and Sunday.

So for those that have 3 hours to drive, that doesn't help much. Do you take a full day off or a 1/2 day. This is not acceptable.

The OFC Heat-In Up in Wilmington has an opening for a 16U team. Schedule has been out for days (last week . You can see your games times now. Park has NO gate fees, coolers allowed, lots of shade trees. You can grill out. Has a playground and fishing lake. Sluggerfest charges $5.00 day to enter and no coolers allowed. Only one opening so move fast. Look for Heat-In Up under ASA Tournaments.

Still Nothing. Web site said schedule out minimum week before. We are there. I know it says be prepared to play Friday morning but need to know for sure so people can plan. I have schedules for all 3 July tournaments we are playing but nothing for this week. My 1st and probably last trip to Sluggerfest

Our first game is 10:45 am, and we are three hours away. No way can we get there , due to summer school in the am. We would have to leave at 0600 to get to our first game , while you have local teams playing a first game at 2:15PM, does that make sense?
