12U poll looks pretty good I personally put Doom97 and Hawks Black higher. This weekend at the Laser Gold tournment will have some great teams. I will say this year at 12u the top teams have played each other quite a bit.

I agree - Buckeye Heat is playing some good ball too, they looked good at Lasers this weekend.

The polls are interesting to follow, it is shaping up closer to what it should... I am not sure how some teams stay up there when we have not seen them at ASA State, Kettering METRO or this weeks Lasers. (maybe they are at Compuware?) I do know that teams that are not playing the three tourney's above and a few others have no idea the high level of ball being played there .. last year we saw for the first time the huge gap between a 'local' sanctioned tourney and the better invitationals - there is no comparison really.

As an 11u we are playing in the toughest tourney's in the state every weekend and our kids get better each time out, they have beaten a top five team each weekend for the past 4 of 5 weeks... It shows us that in any game between the top 12 or so, either team can win if they play solid 'D' and put the ball in play. The top 5 are much more consistent in their ability to do so game in and game out and it shows in their records.

After our 4-0 loss to the Orange (who BTW have the classiest coaches I know - great fellows) last night I told our kids that we just came in the top 12 of 24 12u teams at the Lasers Tourney as an 11u ... If we take care of our biz and continue to progress, next year at 12u they will get the recognition they will have earned.

Just got email that Lasers Silver lost there #1 pitcher what will that due to them ??

Lasers Silver is a 14U team

MD - you aren't kidding. It must be in the water, because it surely can't be the instruction received from the dads based on the ones I've met.

Be sure your brain is engaged before putting mouth into gear!

A team that is not mentioned is the Central Ohio Nightmare 12U.
A great coach and they have been playing 14U out of State and doing well.
They lost early but with practice and local kids it might be deja' vu
with that older older group.
