07 I270/Central OH League - 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U

Per request, the I270-10U League is expanding for 2007 to include 8U, 12U, 14U age brackets.

* 8U - Competitive Coach-Pitch/Machine Pitch (TBD) - 20 games (10 DH) + EOS Tourney
* 10U, 12U, 14U - M/W and T/H - 20 games (10 DH) + EOS Tourney
* 10U, 12U, 14U - T (and/or W - TBD) - 12 games (6 DH) + EOS Tourney

Note: The 1-night/week league is targeted at weekend travel teams, however community select teams and travel teams are welcome in any league.

We are currently collecting email addresses from anyone interested in receiving league information.

League meetings will be held in January and you will be notified when and where to attend.

As a rule of thumb - home field locations should be within a 30-45 miles radius of downtown Columbus to be considered.

Please send your email to mpwjmw@nexgenaccess.com. On your email please list name of team/organization, age bracket and division (1 night or 2 night) and perferred night (although this cannot be guaranteed).

The meeting for the I270 Softball League is scheduled for Saturday, January 13th at the Worthington Rec Center - 345 East Wilson Bridge Road, Worthington, Ohio. ?The time slots are as follows:

* 9:00-10:00 ? 10U
* 10:00-11:00 ? 12U
* 11:00-12:00 ? 14U

Topics that will be discussed at each meeting:

* Review 2 night per week league format (M/W, T/H)
* Review/discuss proposed 1 night per week league format
* Review all rules and discuss league modifications
* Encourage 8U league participation from community programs

The cost for the 2 night per week league (20 games) is $200 (same as last year). ?This fee includes ASA certification, trophies for regular season division champions, league coordination of umpires, end-of-year (3 game guarantee) tournament with umpire fees and balls provided by the league, trophies provided to tournament first and second place. ?The cost for the 1 night per week league will be determined once the format is decided (e.g. Is there an end-of-year tournament?).
