The weather isn't the only thing "Hot" in Knoxville. The Lady Lasers smoked'em in the USSSA World Series pool play, remaining undefeated as they entered into bracket play Thursday.

After a devastating 5-3 loss to the Attack in the winners bracket final, the Lady Lasers came back to beat the Outlaws with a home run by catcher, Caylor Arnold to give them a chance to win the World Series.

The Lady Lasers had to defeat the Attack twice to win the World Series. The Lady Lasers won 1st place and took home the World Series title by beating the Attack 4-0 in the first game and 3-1 in the Championship game to take their record to 62-5.

The Lady Lasers are now heading to ASA Nationals in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Congratulations to all the 10U Lady Lasers girls for their outstanding performances.

I couldn't be prouder of this team. We were down by 1 run in the bottom of the 8th inning when Caylor hit the 2 run shot. In the championship game she hits another homerun to secure the victory. She hits .750 for the series and has an outstanding week behind the plate. For her performance she was named World Series MVP.

Ana Walter played an outstanding shortstop and hit .600 for the series. She was voted Offensive MVP.

Briana Shaw pitched a tremendous week. Due to an injury, Bee pitched in 7 of our 8 victories. She pitched 14 innings on Friday and another 14 on Saturday giving up only 2 earned runs. For this fine performance she was named Outstanding Pitcher.

We placed 5 other players on the All-World team; Kenzie Wallace, Jill Kazmeirczak, Marissa Bondoni, Emma Fish and Casey Burns.

This is a very special group of girls from all over Ohio, who have come together as a team. Our defense is what keeps us in every game and they have made some truly breathtaking plays.

This week however, is only a tuneup for next week at the ASA Nationals. Our goal is to play late into the day on the final day of the Nationals. It has been our goal all year.

Thank you for all of your well wishes. We will make Ohio proud.

It still isn't ASA! So why don't you quit your bragging and boasting and get-r-done at ASA. Then maybe, hopefully, you can be just a little bit humble with your posts.
