Saw SGS Magic 10u yesterday and no doubt they will be strong this year at the 10u age. Two nice pitchers and a catcher with a solid arm. Nice little defense also. Had some strong sticks in the lineup that had a few good crushes against us.
Look to be mostly an older 10u team but could be wrong. Lord I hope most of them moves up next summer  :lmao:

The 10u Diamond Chix deserve to be put on the radar after winning 10u Spano Dome tourny a few weeks back against some tough teams.

Thanks LEH, yea I think 12 of our 13 move up next year lol, I think 9 of our girls have 2 or 3 years of travel under their belt already. I believe our first pitcher you guys faced is in her first year of travel. I think after you guys get a year under your belt you guys are going to be exciting to watch, lots of speed with that Irish team.

BTW I think my 10U Jr. Panthers team is going to scrimmage you guys the 21st, I am trying to secure our field, if not Jim mentioned getting use of his field. You guys will probably kick our butt, but I need a scrimmage against a well coached team to help my kids get a feel for the game before we head into the spring season.

The Ohio Dragons '99 10u are pretty good. They have qualified for the asa nationals and nsa nationals. They played in the fall against the classics coming in second in a 3-1 lose when the Dragons and Classics number 1 pitchers faced each other. This winter at spano dome coming third and being the first time back on the dirt. Also, In the war of the wetlands tourney in indiana came first going 5-0. they have an overall record of 22-5 since the fall. These five loses coming to very talented teams.

Hello playmaker74. Bring the girls down to the 10U Friendlies in Middletown on April 10. There is a thread to it in the General Section. Love to have you come down and play. Last I knew, there was one spot left.

I got to see the Diamond Chix at the Spano Dome. We did not get a chance to play them but they looked pretty good. They beat some tough teams.

I saw the Dragons in Ft. Wayne, they looked solid, very agressive offensively. In speaking with the Classics coach they just added another big bat to a line up already putting up lots of runs. I had an opportunity to scrimmage the Laser Purple squad, Tadd has them looking pretty sharp as well. I am glad we will get a chance to see them all in the Stingrays invitational.

10U has to be one of the funnest age groups to experience, so make sure to slow down and enjoy the ride it doesn't last long!

Question-how many of these teams will be playing at the ASA national level, which means traveling all over the state and beyond?

Well, based on only 4 teams currently being entered into the ASA/USA Dayton Metro Open Memorial Weekend so far, I"m hoping 8-10 or even more teams step up, otherwise it looks like about a hand-full are interested in Traveling outside the state at 10u.

This years 10u ASA Nationals are in Chattanooga Tenn., so that is a relatively close Nationals to partake in. Would think most teams would want to take a shot at it.

I know several of the teams mentioned in this thread are going to ASA States in Fostoria where 2 national births are available. I am even taking my team to PA for an ASA event so we can see some new teams.

Of all the teams we have faced so far (and we have played a bunch of them).... the Ohio Classics and KY Xplosion have given us the best games. 2 VERY talented teams.... Hawks '99 Black can be very competitive also. Watch out for them this year. Our 1st tournament is in two weeks... Can't wait!

Hey Dan, Thanks for the props to the Ky Xplosion. The girls have been working really hard to become competitive. So far we have played 11 games and are 9 and 2 on the season with both losses coming to the Hawks Gold. Very nice team!!! Also, some of the teams that we have seen that are very good would be Dragons, Extreme Heat, and The Shock. Should be an exciting season for all the 10U's

Sounds like a lot of great teams this year. Elyria has a nice mix of 9 and 10 year old athletes but all but two are getting their first actual taste of travel so don't throw inside on them...I'm trying to keep them in the box!

Come join us for our NSA Qualifer June 18-20. Great fields and facility. We need some 10U teams. A nice little touch - Custom Championship t-shirts go to the winning team in each age group which the girls love to wear.

We're real short on 10's so I told our TD I'm offering FREE Friday pizza to the next 4 teams that sign up so visit our blog, enter the tourney and write FREE PIZZA on the form!! (Now that's marketing!)

I thought you guys were very good too. After the game one of your assistants told me he thought of Xplosion as a pretty good B team. I'd like to see what he considers A!

We got to see some teams at Urbana this weekend (tourny problems aside) all three teams we played gave us good games. Xtreme Heat did well as did the Dragons '99, Licking County Stars have a very very tough pitcher, easily throwing 50 mph. Hope to see them all in the future.
