We got charged $10 for the car for the weekend. Didn't think that was bad at all. Most of the time no one was there watching the gate anyway.

We played the 14U Pumas. They were a great group of girls and parents. We really enjoyed talking with them.

I want to let Ricky and his crew know that this was a great tournament.
The weather did play some in the tournament pushing games back- but all in all- Great.
We had some issues with umpires calls and some rules that the umpires didn't know.
The admission price has not changed for at least 3 years. Concession prices were not bad.
As for the competition- Boy, lots great teams from all over in all the age divisions.

Our team- the Cincy Ice finished 2nd in the Gold Bracket. Way to go girls!!
Sunday was a very long day!!

Ricky, thanks a lot for a very well run tournament.

I had a great time out in Zanesville last weekend and the chance to umpire in 14 total games. It was a blast!

And, finally, I got to meet Ricky in person! Definitely the highlight of my weekend! :)

All of the games I did were at Y-City Park. Most were 18U and 16U, but I did do some 14U and 12U too, including the 12U championship game on Sunday.

If I'm remembering right, on Friday I was on field #3 all day, just me and one other umpire. On Saturday, field #2 rotating on and off with two other umpires and on Sunday on field #1, with the same two other umpires from Saturday.

jasbo77, How is your catcher? We were waiting to play on the other field when we all heard the scream.

as of now she is on crutches no ligament or tendon damage which is awesome we seen the knee bend backwards and sideways but as of now just severely sprained

Jasbo77, the fields must be unlucky. We had a young lady break the growth plate in her foot when she rolled her ankle during a warm-up jog behind the outfield fence on #3. Hope that they both heal quickly and are back out soon for the fall.
