I will just give a quick breakdown -

Spring 2021 we have played in 4 tournaments so far. I am not going to go thru all the tourneys, friendlies or scrimmages from last fall or winter. Sorry.

We started off slow but we are a different team today than we were week 1. I am sure most are in the same boat.
We finally have our players that were tied up in middle school track, ball, and gymnastics that missed our first 2 tournaments. We also had a couple player changes early in the season but finally for the last 2 tourneys our Team of 11 girls are competing and starting to build that much needed chemistry! I am excited to see how the rest of the season plays out. Congrats Wolfpack on your Tourney Champion vs. Laser's Orange! 2 very good teams!
We all know that there are a lot of good teams out there and 12u is very fun! Couple errors or timely hits is usually the difference maker when a lot of these team compete. Good luck to everyone this summer!

Record for the week was 4-1

FIRESTONE FRENZY (Akron, Ohio)
In pool play beat Wizards Gold Hady (4-1), Ohio Energy Percassi (5-0), Explosive (9-1)
In bracket played beat Stark Raiders (11-3), lost to Mid Ohio Bullets (9-3)
***Although I don't usually comment, I was impressed with 3 additional teams that I was not familiar with previously. Wizards Gold, Mid Ohio Bullets and USSSA Pride Navy were extremely well coached good teams. The USSSA Navy team went 7-0 and defeated an excellent Cobras 08 team in the finals.

Thanks for the kind words, coach! We've played that Bullets team 4 times (3-0-1) and they're scrappy. Cobras '08 was what we expected, extremely solid and well-coached. We just had that one big inning and luckily that was enough. Both of those teams have a great group of girls and coaches. We're looking forward to seeing everyone throughout the summer!

Playing in our first tournament with all girls back from middle school ball and travel basketball, the Ohio Storm 08 went 2-1 at the Veterans Memorial this past weekend. Played well in pool play on Saturday going 2-0. On Sunday, the team had one bad inning defensively late in the game (top of 6th) and lost to Lasers Black 5-0. The Lasers Black pitcher did a really nice job of spotting her pitches, and moving the ball around. We will be at Firefighters this weekend.

2021 Veteran's Memorial
In Pool play we won 11-2 against Bulldawgs Elite Purple 08-Shipley, and won 3-0 against Cincy Doom 08-Barnes.
In Bracket play lost 5-0 to Lasers Black.
