Too much pressure to be on this list. I can't wait to see these teams. We've played some already, coaches made great choices. Hope everyone has a great year.

was that time clocked with a daddy-sponsored radar gun, or a unbiased-sanctioned radar...the daddy-guns approximate 5-10 mph higher than the rest ;)

nice pool. This would never fly on the Western PA site. It would be gone. But then again. some of the posters would probably take offense to it if their dd team was not listed, make a stupid post, causing the moderator to remove the topic. Which is a shame since we all know its simply for something to do and have a little fun with. btw, is the Roadrunners team listed in the pool the one from Pittsburgh (Lady Roadrunners)? I'd submit myself, but we really have only visually seen about 5 of these teams listed since the fall. A few more I've gotten some "scouting" info on. A few more I'd have to go back to last summer since we've last seen or played them. But then again, this is the pre season poll. Thanks.

Going by what they (coaches) mentioned back then. He mentioned she has been timed at various tournaments and clinics. Again that is going by their word. I would say they were dead on being that our team faced them that year and I was thrilled my dd made contact off her that game,LOL! This past summer when she threw crowds gather to watch her perform. She does bring the heat!

As an honest daddy I only add maybe 3 mph, tops, to my daughters speed when I share her pitching stories. :D

lake erie,

thanks for taking a goof when you see one!
it's okay, dads also exaggerate hitting stories (not stats, ringer, so don't get me started!!!) ((where is my grrrr icon, bearmay?)) from time to time...dribblers in the gap turn into "gap shots" and slap bunts turn into "she was already at first by the time..." you get the point ;)

Sorry LR55---the system won't allow me to respond to the PM until I've posted a few more times. The Thunder 14U team will be in Cortland in May but the 12U teams have already completed their scheduling. It looks like a great field for that tourney and we're really looking forward to it. Maybe next year we can bring multiple teams.

My DD got to play the Thunder and face the nice lefty last year in the Dome in Fort Wayne (lost to them 2-1 )and also watched them play several games at ASA Nationals(which they won) last fall. All I can say is WOW. You are not kidding when you say she has great control, nothing across the plate always on the corners. Just wondering if you know if they have a web site listing there tournament schedule kind of hoping to run into them again this year.

Also wanted to say that I love the idea of the poll I think it will give everyone something to talk about for the whole year and may make people pay more attention to the other teams in the tournament to see if they are really all that.

You beat me to it---if you scroll down on the team picture, the coach on the left is her dad, so she obviously has a chance to grow up to be pretty tall! She's the blond front row, center.

If you'd like to try and schedule something in the future with any of our teams, just get in contact with us. Being from lightly populated north-central Indiana---our parents are quite used to having to travel extensively in order to find good tournaments (the Indy teams usually won't come north and the Chicagoland teams make you come to them).

Keep an eye open for SGS Magic Red,they will be tough. Good sticks and alot of solid pitching. Looking foward to hooking up against them this summer.

The Sudden Death 12U team deserves mention. This team is back this season almost intact from last. The few players that have been added have made this team even stronger than last season. There are several of the teams mentioned in the poll that SDS defeated last season.

[move]BEWARE SUDDEN DEATH ![/move]

I'm sure someone from the Magic will chime in, but I seem to remember it means "Suburban Girls Softball" BUT I can't remeber what I had for lunch yesterday so...........what were we talking about?

Looking at the results that are posted for the Indy Sportzone, you would have to move the Cincy Static Black up on this list. That was some tough teams they beat. I have never seen them play, but the results make you take notice.
