Well, I just got a call. The championship game will start around 10:45, lol. Good thing there's no school tomorrow!

The Buckeye Heat will play the winner of the Stingrays and the SGS Magic. I guess the Stingrays and the Magic are 0-0 in the 4th inning.

The Buckeye Heat team was firing on all cylinders this weekend. Jim and Mitch have a very aggressive group of young ladies, that will be a force to reckon with this summer.
Congratulations to the Buckeye Heat!!

Lady_Knights, Thanks for your support this weekend! It was nice seeing you again.

Hats off the to SGS Magic for a well played tournament. The team has class, a lot of talent and should do well this summer. Special thanks to Tim Galligher for all of his efforts. His facility is top notch and it's always a pleasure to play in his tournaments and leagues. All in all a great weekend.

The final ended with the Buckeye Heat winning 10-5 over the SGS Magic team. ?Kudos to Tim Galligher for hold another excellent tournament. ? This is one of the best winter tournament in the state bar none.

There were many excellent teams in this tournament that will fare very well next summer. ?Going into the bracket play on Sunday, there were 5 undefeated teams. Ohio Emeralds, Vicking's Elite, Gahanna Lions, SGS Magic and the Buckeye Heat. The caliber of the teams in this tournament was second to none. ?There were seveal other teams that finished 1-1 going into bracket play that deserved mentioning - ?The Stingray and the Ashland Blaze and the Naturals. ?The one thing that stood out the entire weekend, outside the caliber of play was the sportsmanship, intensity and desire displayed by each of the teams.

The Stingrays lived up to their reputation as a "never give up" team and provide some of the best excitement of the weekend. ?They battled to a final four finish and they deserved to be there.

The Vickings Elite showed why Teays Valley is a perennial HS powerhouse with the great talent and coaching that they have. ?That is a team that would be the envy of any HS coach.

The Emerals are another team that should not be taken lightly. They are very talented and very well coached.

The SGS magic is a very -VERY talented team with great (and classy) coaches and fantastic players. ?They have a very talented pitching staff that will take their team deep into many Sunday next season. ?They will win a lot of hardware next summer. The parents and girls proved themselves to be top notch and the coaches/community/parents should be very proud of the team.

The Buckeye Heat is my team and I will not blow my own horn. ?I will say this--I am very proud to be the coach of the nicest group of girls that I have ever been associated with--and the parents AND THE COACHING STAFF.... ;) ;D ? They are FANTASIC.

To Tim Galligher - another fantastic tounament. ?

Thanks!

SGS Magic was also a 13U team that has been together for the most for this their fourth year. Great horse in Bryson and very good pitchers in their own right in AD and Maggie. Good luck to them and I can't wait until they play the NWO Lady Irish blue 13U team, we had some great games last year.

The two games against the Stingrays and the Magic were couple of the best games I have ever seen, hard fought by both teams. This tournament continues to bring in great competition and run real well each year, we are allready looking forward to next year.
