We (Lasers Orange) also won a bracket game that started at 8:15 pm Friday night. We were at Benton Ridge and there were two other bracket games going on then too. I know that there were still a lot of bracket games that had to happen in the morning, but I would guess that maybe close to half of the first round bracket games were completed Friday night between the Marathon Fields, Benton Ridge, and Findlay HS.

Were all teams that won the first bracket game invited to participate in the drawing on Saturday @ 2?

Run26 - That, I don't know, as I'm not one of the coaches.

I will say that in reading through these messages, it seems the drawing occurred on Sunday at 2 and the notification about the drawings occurred late on Sunday morning. If a representative had to be present, that was too late of a notice. Saturday games were cancelled early Saturday morning. The entire tournament was officially cancelled Saturday around 4:15 pm. I was literally driving around Marathon fields when the notification for that came through the weather line.

For our team, this really doesn't have an impact because I do not believe we would have accepted a bid anyway (just speculating - again, not a coach). However, if this is when and how they had to determine the bids, then I don't think it was right that a representative had to be present. I understand that you can't help the rain, but they should've notified the coaches that they had to be present as soon as the tournament was cancelled Saturday at 4. It seems that most coaches had went home before the Sunday morning notification came out. Our coaches actually went home Saturday morning once Saturday was cancelled with the intent of driving back on Sunday morning for the games. Maybe at least allowing the teams interested in a bid to call in and be included on the coin flip/card draw?

17s Agree a lot of unanswered questions here, certainly excluding teams that lost bracket games would of increased our odds, believe our goal was not getting bid,but playing well, that we achieved.Think an explanation of procedure is warranted ,but if any mistakes were made in process, which seems likely ,nothing will be said.Don't think game totals for teams are as low as they ever have been,of coarse there's this week wish all of us luck
