Run26 - That, I don't know, as I'm not one of the coaches.
I will say that in reading through these messages, it seems the drawing occurred on Sunday at 2 and the notification about the drawings occurred late on Sunday morning. If a representative had to be present, that was too late of a notice. Saturday games were cancelled early Saturday morning. The entire tournament was officially cancelled Saturday around 4:15 pm. I was literally driving around Marathon fields when the notification for that came through the weather line.
For our team, this really doesn't have an impact because I do not believe we would have accepted a bid anyway (just speculating - again, not a coach). However, if this is when and how they had to determine the bids, then I don't think it was right that a representative had to be present. I understand that you can't help the rain, but they should've notified the coaches that they had to be present as soon as the tournament was cancelled Saturday at 4. It seems that most coaches had went home before the Sunday morning notification came out. Our coaches actually went home Saturday morning once Saturday was cancelled with the intent of driving back on Sunday morning for the games. Maybe at least allowing the teams interested in a bid to call in and be included on the coin flip/card draw?
