No, I think that has to be Wizards Haas. Wizards Elite had dropped to the loser's bracket when we were there yesterday and Wizards Haas (who has been making great noise this year) was still in the winner's bracket.

Thx :)

Heard that team is a very strong offensive team.

Just left the fields, games getting ready to start were....

Laser Black vs. Ohio Hawks- Downing
Stingrays Leedy vs. Central Ohio Lady Vipers

Miami Valley Express Curtis and Ohio Ice Blue awaiting the winners

Outlaws vs. Wizards Haas at 2:00 in winners bracket

A lot of great softball this weekend... Good luck to all remaining teams.

So Outlaws and Wizards Haas have 2 of the USA/ASA berths being awarded in this tournament. Congrats!! Six great teams playing for the final berths. I frankly don't remember if this tournament is awarding four or three berths. Anyone know?

4..................

I don't believe the Lasers will take a birth if they win it

And my volunteer comment was that they could find someone to update the bracket on their web site to real time. It can be done. Ask the Stingrays.

I don't believe that the "volunteers" who are responsible for posting and overseeing Stingrays results at their tourney and on the web site are volunteers in the sense that you connote. I have had communications with at least two of them (one of whom is the TD) both informally and with respect to Stingrays Tourney matters off and on over several years. They are committed, experienced, and understand all the ins and outs of their tournament. We are talking years of experience with this tournament before they began posting on-line results. More importantly with respect to Stingrays, I think that they would tell you that without the Obsidian softball and training in its application they couldn't just "post results to their site". I don't have to ask the Stingrays what it takes, I already know what it takes: money to Obsidian and "volunteers" who commit hours well beyond the weekend to the endeavor. And I don't think I would demand that of a TD who is charging $425 for entry and has no idea whether the capital commitment to the Obsidian tournament software or other software vendors will be returned through the award by Ohio ASA of future 16u tournaments, which awards are made on a year to year basis.

It's not just a matter of picking up somebody off the street. Nor is it a matter of "not caring".

It doesn't have to be anything fancy. The bracket is on the web site. Have someone post the scores and fill in the blanks with the teams as they move up. You just keep updating the document.. It can be easy.

YEP... updating the PDF can be accomplished by using a smart phone, tablet or even lap top over a wi-fi connection. They did it Friday night after pool games & it wouldn't really take that much to do...

Ohio Ice took it to us winning by 12 in 4 innings. Good luck Ice. They now play the Outlaws for a chance to play the only undefeated Wizards.

Wizards Haas are the real deal. Haas had a great 16u Buckeye Heat Toledo team that went to USA/ASA Nationals a couple of years ago. Whatever his formula, he should bottle it. Good stuff.

Congrats to Xpress, Ice Blue, Outlaws and Wizards Haas for punching their tickets to USA/ASAs.

I'm guessing there will be no walking tacos in Montgomery. Some BBQ wouldn't be a bad option though. Maybe some pulled pork at the ole ballpark! Good luck to all wherever you play your postseasons.

THANKS! How cool to be mentioned in the same breath as those teams. Those are talented, well coached, classy teams.

I could get into some Southern BBQ! We get a nice break until Stingrays. I can cut the grass!
