The Ohio Wave Fastpitch Organization is once again conducting our Fall Fastpitch League for players in 3rd ? 9th grade.
The league features double headers every Sunday for 6 weeks between Aug 27th ? Oct 8th. We do not play on Labor Day weekend.
Individual players or complete teams are welcome. Travel teams are excluded as a whole team but we would consider dividing them into two teams and adding other players. Our aim is to keep the level of play competitive. This is a great format to allow experienced players to continue to work on their game while at the same time introducing the game to new or less experienced players. Roster size is limited to allow maximum playing time.
We are limited to 72 players (6 teams) in the 3rd ? 5th grade division, and 120 players (10 teams) in the 6th ? 9th grade division. Be sure to enroll early as we are expected to fill up fast. All players will receive a team T-Shirt and licensed umpires will be working each game. All of the games will be played at the Stebbins Field Complex.
SPECIAL NOTE: 3rd ? 5th grade division will use a combination of machine pitch and player pitch during their games. Example; the first 3 innings the machine will be used, and the remaining innings will be player pitch. This allows for more opportunity to game play for all players. As the season progresses and the pitching improves at this level, we normally adjust the amount that the machine is used each game.
