The weather looks like it will be only a high of 40 degrees or so, and a slight chance of a snow flurry.

Pretty much like what the weather looks like in the beginning of next week as things kick off for real.

Rich,
If the tournament is called due to inclement weather, will the teams and fans be notified Friday evening or early Saturday morning? ?

I am not running this tournament just helping. If anything is called that would be done by Coach Newland.

Don't expect that to happen. I just came from the diamonds and they looked great. Greenville, Toledo St Ursula, Hilliard Davidson, and Lancaster will be playing tonite starting at 4:00pm.

A little pre shoot-out...shoot out.

A huge thank you and congradulations to all of the teams that participated in the Greenville Pre-Season Shootout. While it was a little chilly and a few snow flakes even fell during the day, overall it was pretty decent, and some quality softball was played.

All of the games started right on schedule.

Only one team backed out. Sorry to Covington and Northwestern (thier opponents) for that. Fourtunately, Greenville's JV team was able to step in and give them both a decent game.

Saw alot of good softball being played out there today. Did not get to see everyone but I did watch some of the Kenton Ridge vs Fairmont game. I think that ended up 3-1 KR, but not 100% sure. Milford looked good, TSU looked good, as did Columbus Desales. They played a very good game against Greenville, I believe that the final was 2-0 Greenville. Anyway Desales looks to be very well coached.

Hope that everybody got good work in and they start the season well on Monday.

Thanks for coming, and a huge thank you to the grounds crew and coach Newland for putting on such a quality event.
