Yes it is. Park near the playground. It is at the back of the fields.

The version on line shows 14u Madness (9) playing twice at 5:30 on Friday on the 14u tab. Assuming the Master is correct that it is 5:30 and 7 pm.

You are correct. The master is right. Will get it changed. Sorry about that.

Thanks. Never been to this tournament and was not sure which fields names went with what complex.

Downloadable field map will be available on www.diamondchix.com by noon Wednesday. Sorry for the delay. More details will be posted by Thursday eve.

If we don't fill the final U14 slot, team #7 and team #8 will play each other twice to ensure 3 pool games. Team #5 (my DiamondCHIX team) will only play 2 pool games. If there turns out to be an unfair advantage for my team, we will default to the worse seed so as not to gain an unfair advantage.

Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks!

It's kind of shady how the pool play is setup for the 10u's. 2 pools of 5 teams and there is 1 cross pool game w/ two of the better teams. Chix have a cake schedule for the #1 seed. Also, the times are in favor of the home teams? Gonna lose some teams if this c**p continues.

JMHO

As far as U10 bracket, it definately wouldn't be appropriate to discuss personal feelings on rankings, etc in a public forum...especially for such a young age. I personally did the scheduling and slot #10 was blank (like the U14 one currently is) when the schedule was done. That spot was filled after the fact. Feel free to contact me at tecco@sbcglobal.net if anyone needs anymore details.

If you do the math, with an odd number of teams in a pool, if each team played all the teams in their pool, that would dramatically increase the total number of games. A cross game must be played or else one team in each pool would end up with 4 games. In both options, one is continuously opening up a can of worms.

I can't believe anyone is complaining about playing good teams, isn't that the point of tournaments? Get over yourself, play ball, and quit analyzing the schedule for excuses on why you might lose and worry about playing the games.

So, your telling me you have never had a complaint about a schedule or how you may be getting the shaft? You are lying if you are saying that;&

BTW, we don't plan on losing, so no one is making excuses. To win a tournament you might have to play everyone anyone. All I am saying is there are some roads that seem to be easier for some teams.

Regul8r1973 do you think this is a payback ? Correct me if i'm wrong. Didn't you beat chix for a tournament championship?

All I am saying is, if you are going to host a tournament you shouldn't cater to your own teams. Examples would be an easy pool schedule and great game times. It's not that hard to understand. Everyone is blowing this thing waaaayyyy out of proportion.

Could it be misconstrued as a payback? I wouldn't say that but you be the judge on that one!

That should sum it up. This will be the first NSA event I ever attend - no offense intending toward anyone, but is there always this much pre-tourney drama and whining over schedules? haha.

I coach an 11U team and we have gotten rough draws all year and we never complain about it. We are going to face the tough teams anyway, why not play the good ones to prepare for the good ones??? We always say that we are playing "the other team" that is all you need to know. It doesn't matter who is sitting on the other bench, you still have to play your best.

Just curious, which one of your Hawks team is in the tourny for 14u?

I hear people commenting on the Chix catering to their own team (i.e. pools and great playtime). I would gladly change my dd's 8am game with someone who gets a later start if your saying you would rather have that time slot. :lmao: My dd's a Chix player and believe me she is not by any means a morning person but will be there at 7am for pre-game and ready to play.

Everyone that runs tournaments has the same issues. Tourney Directors always try to make everyone happy by fulfilling the visiting organizations requests. But there is always one out there that is not happy. It's going to be a GREAT time! Win or lose everyone should be there to have fun. :yahoo:

Hoping the brackets/seedings are announced or posted soon. As far as I can tell, we don't even play first bracket game until 2:00pm on Sunday, and 16U championship game not scheduled until 8pm Sunday night. Yikes.

Any post for the seeding?
