2010 D3 State Champion

The D3 State Champion has come out of the Central District the last 4 years. Don't see any reason it won't again this year.;& Any thoughts?

Anyone outside the Central District have any reason to think otherwise?

I am not sure the central district will be as strong as it has been the past 6 or 7 years. There is not a team in the district that I can think of that is a lock to make the final 4. There will still be a lot of good teams but not sure about great teams.

West Liberty Salem out of the Southwest district should be in the final 4 with a chance to win it.

Not sure what West-Liberty has coming back but North Union has nearly everyone back and I'm sure they added some depth with the underclassman. Good chance that West-Liberty and North Union could meet in the Finals.

West Liberty should be strong. Central District should be interesting and yes NU should win one of them just wil be interesting to see if they have the pitching to go all the way.

N. Union has two pitcher that put with the ability to score runs . Gives them a chance to make a good run .
Pleasant has a pitcher that at the end of the year can string some games together to make them a team to avoid.
Ready I'm sure will have a hand in deciding the central div.
Liberty Union is coming off 20 win season with most returning .
IMO the Central div. will make a run but fall short of a state title.

Madison High School should be there this year with all the travel piayers and the strong pitching they have.

If Clear Fork is now Divn 3 they will have a good chance at this. That was what I was told by our high school coach last week. I guess they are close to moving down one divn..

Have to disagree SB..D2 is weaker than than D3. Clearfork was good last year, but would not have won it all in D3. Maybe they will prove me wrong if that is the case.

I'm basing it on who they played outside of divn 2. Example beat Crestview 3-1 , when they were 5'th in the state in divn 4. Then looking at the divn 3 teams that Crestview beat.

Don't count out some NEO teams. Youngstown Ursuline or Champion. Both should be very strong teams this year.

Awesome! Id love to come down your way and watch those games. When do you play them? I havent came across their schedule yet being that you play them in a DH Im sure that would be a saturday.
I know they are off to Kentucky in March for a tournament and they play Sandusky and Sandusky Perkins in non-conference action,but that is all I know of (except conference teams and now your team).

I see they are still doing the back to back thing in the Firelands Conference. I see they dont have the Kentucky tournament listed on their schedule. The softball team was selling 50/50 tickets at the basketball game to raise money for their trip.
Hope coach Ruggles remembers his pitcher has to throw at 43 feet down there.

Archbold returns 8 of there 9 starters from last year. I think they will make some noise.

We played New London two years ago and they have a fine softball team, with many young kids coming out of travel ball.
