When did they start letting teams refuse to play one another in these tourneys?

CGS...thanks for giving us a shout. This was definitely a great tournament to play in and the Keystone coaches did an awesome job of hosting. The teams were impressive and the pitching was some of the best we have seen and the level of play will definitely help get us ready for the next couple of weeks. Schools represented 15 state championships, 12 state runners-up and 34 final four appearances. No shame in losing a game at this tournament. Poland was a good game as expected and I enjoyed talking to the coaches after the competition. Elyria was good and we were the last 2 tired teams to leave the park. Came up short but confident on that game.

I enjoyed watching all the teams this weekend. We have turned our focus to this coming week and we are hoping to have as nice of weather as we had this weekend!

A quick note...I believe there were only a couple of teams that went 3-0 and Copley was one of them. Makenzie Wallace had an exceptional weekend....congrats to Copely for going 3-0.

@Sun Dragon:

Showing the flag is about a lot more than winning. Sounds like you had some great, really competitive games. Suspect all four teams involved in your weekend will play important roles in the State tournament.

A few things I noticed this weekend at the Prebis. In Division I, North Canton Hoover, Central Crossing and Elyria are all very evenly matched. All 3 have good pitching and good hitters. It wouldn't surprise me to see all three make some noise in the playoffs.

It was fun to watch these 3 teams play each other, because the all the games could've gone either way. Three excellent teams and fun to watch.

Also, Gabriel from Poland is BY FAR the best pitcher I have seen this year. I watched her against Elyria and she wasn't real sharp, but her next game against Central Crossing she was unbelievable. If she is on...WOW...she is almost impossible. The Central Crossing vs. Poland game was 0-0 in the bottom of the 6th before Poland scored 2 with 2 outs. It was the best played game by two teams I have seen this year. Dorsey from Central Crossing was awesome in that game also, she doesn't take a back seat to anyone!! Fun game.

I also want to say that Ashley Hall from Hoover was amazing when I watched her pitch also, I think she had 11K's in the game agains Central Crossing. She was very good in that game!

It was a fun weekend, I highly recommend the pie at Michelle's. Even though my daughters team (Central Crossing) went 1-2, I have a feeling we got much better this weekend!!
