as always in SEO the word never got on when tryouts were . Coach's act like they dont care . So we can go up and get ruled ruled most games.

from looking at the rosters my guess is SEO is going to get handled easily by the other districts . I'm not hoping they do but the coach's are not promoting this game and it makes our district ( and area) look very weak , when in truth there is just as many great players as everywhere else . They just are not playing in this all star game.
I know that this is chance to possibly play in front of a few ohio coachs and it isnt all about W/L 's but when you are getting creamed 14-2 and you get 4 AB's in 3 games it doesnt make it an enjoyable experience for the SEO players.

So the SE got outscored 53-5 . Similiar scores were posted when my dd played . that isnt fun. Severe disconnect between coachs and players . I know our school had two players asking when tryouts were and couldnt get an answer . sad .

ManitouDan I dont think that. Seen your players play. I know SEO has alot to offer. But there were College coaches watching all the games. SEO Need to get the word out.

Congrats to Southwest on their 2-1 play today. Northeast team is tough with great pitching as well. Also congrats to the 3 pitchers on Southwest for a great showing and #17 Kaitlyn Moore on her absolute bomb over center field fence, that ball left the park in a hurry.

Dan - I agree with you. This is the first year we were aware of the tryouts and that is because I asked our coach after hearing about it from travel ball friends. Tryouts were held on a Saturday (conflicting with Dayton Metro and other tournaments) at Shawnee State. In looking at the roster, I see no kids from MSL teams Logan Elm, Circleville, and Fairfield Union, or Jackson, a regional finalist that lost a close game to Licking Valley.

No players from West , Wheelersburg , Valley , Notre Dame , Minford either . I'd guess all of those schools had a winning % of 700- 800 this year .. Could have ask Koch and Malizio or Conley from Valley . Burg could have sent Cunningham, Dempsey , Salyers , Nolfi . ND had Harr, Phillips or Pierron Minford could have had Conkey . I understand all might not be able to make it but not sending our best makes us all look bad . other districts promote the game , they have huge turnouts for tryouts usually held during the week as not to interfere with summer ball. Whatever we are doing needs revised. --- ( and Sosby from Whiteoak would have been a great idea )

Well it isn't like the SW was well represented with their best players. Pitchers Sharpe and Parker not playing. Several all state players not playing either. Last year I let everyone on our travel team know about the tryouts and 7 players from our team played for the SW last year.
