Has anyone heard when and where this will be? Or can you tell me where to look for the information....
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Your HS coach should be able to tell you when they are having tryouts. I actually think he or she needs to nominate you for it, but not 100% certain.

Daughter took part in this for 2 years when she was in high school (as a sophomore and junior). I would highly recommend it as it was a great experience! There are six districts and each team usually takes 20 kids (3 pitcher, 3 catcher, 2 at the other positions). There is a head coach in your district who will run a tryout (2-3 days) -- high school coach is supposed to announce it to their teams but not all are necessarily good about that. Since I would assume tryouts have either happened or will soon go to the OHSFSCA website and click on your district. You can find the district contact person there if your high school coach isn't providing you with that information. Good luck!

Laura the tryouts are June 9th-10th. Pitchers and catchers are June 9th and infield/outfield is June 10th. Registration is from 4:00 to 4:45. Arrive early enough to submit your registration and get warmed up for the tryout. Three fields will be used for tryouts. You may want to bring a chair, snack and plenty to drink as the tryouts do take awhile. Tryouts are at West Carrollton High School. Games will be played June 23rd-24th at Pickerington Central in Columbus.

Be prepared to be disappointed. My personal experience was in the NW District so I cannot speak as to how teams might be selected in other districts. You'll find that teams are selected based on who the coaches are as opposed to how girls do at the "tryout". Don't expect much unless you're well-connected with the coaching staff.

North East tryouts where out in Barberton last year. I expect the same this year. My daughter played in this as a Sophomore last year and really enjoyed her time with the team. She made some new friends and is still close with them.
A word of warning though, your High School Coach has to have attended the meetings through out the year for your daughter to be eligible to tryout for the team. Your coach has to be a member of the OHSSCA (Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association) for your teams players to be able to try out. It ****s when you see some girls show up only to be turned away because their coach didn't make the meetings. Just ask the girls from Walsh last year.
