Our 2014 tryouts will be conducted August 10th and 11th 2013 at River Valley Baseball for Youth Complex, (2250 Harding Highway East, Marion). An additional rain date is scheduled for August 17-18 for inclement weather.

We are planning to have at least 1 team at each age group; (8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, and 18U)

Diamonds 01 Black is looking for 2 solid players/athletes to fill out our roster for the 2013/2014 season. We have a solid core of girls returning, and are looking for the right players to round out our roster. We will play a competetive schedule with tournaments in the Fall, Spring, & Summer (potentially winter indoor tournamements as well). We will practice throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring leading up to tournaments next Spring/Summer. Practices will be held on Sunday afternoons on a rotating basis depending on the make up of the girls. For example:

Practice Week 1: Marion
Practice Week 2: Mt. Vernon
Practice Week 3: Gahanna

Repeat the process. Locations of practices will be determined by location of players, and access to facilities.

In particular, we are looking for the following:

*Pitcher
*Utility player

Diamonds Fastpitch is a top notch organization. Ran with class and integrity!!!!!!!! Come to tryouts you will see a difference. My daughter has played for them for five years and is returning for a sixth.

We played a top notch schedule this season, including Dayton metro, ASA state, Laser Nation, Buckeye Showdown, GAPSS, and we are leaving this week for Florida to play USSSA world Series. word is that the experienced rvp hitting coach will be the head coach for 04 team..... hitting coach/head coach, good deal in my book....

Diamonds 94 leaving for ASAEastern at Virginia Beach. Hopefully we can improve on our 3rd place finish last year.
We will be announcing some new coaches soon, 16u, 14u, 11u and yes Mike is doing a 9u team. New coaches want us to wait a couple days be announcing them.

Diamonds 97 have added Brent Ransome as the new coach; we are planning a showcase team.
Diamonds 99 will be coached by James Hall/ Dan Bigham- this should be a very good team also.
Diamonds 02 will be coaches by Don Martin.
A few other changes, our 96 team will be coached by Jeff Kauble.
Diamonds 04 will be coached by our hitting instructor, Mike Slob(moving away from the 96 team).
Diamonds 94 coach Phil is not returning as a coach after 18 years of travel coaching but I will be involved with helping our coaches and will continue running the Diamonds organization.
I still have a few coaches to talk to yet. We should have teams at 8u, 2-9u, 10u, 2-11u, 2012u, 13u, 14u, 15u, 16u, 17u, 18u
We have many good coaches and have a lot of talented girls in the Diamonds org. Come to our tryouts on August 10-11 and see for yourself

Diamonds fastpitch 96 just finished up at the USSSA World Series at ESPN Wide World of sports in Orlando Fl. We just lost 8-7 in International tie breaker. We finished third. We had a nice trophy presintation but it was disappointing to be so close to the championship and loose in ITP.

Diamonds will also be filling an 8u team again this year. Get your daughter started early. Returning 5 girls from 2013 team that won Firefighter's Memorial. Will likely play in 4-5 tournaments in 2014.
