2014 Dirt Dawgs Team Tryouts - 8u, 10u, 11u, 12u & 14u

Dirt Dawgs Fastpitch is excited to announce our 2014 team tryout dates. All tryouts will be held at Harold D. Miller Memorial Park located at 406 S. Wells Street in Shreve, OH.

Due to road construction near the park, parking will also be available day of tryouts at the opposite end of the park- 329 S. Market Street

August 13th
14u: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.


August 14th
10u: 5:00- 6:00p.m.
11u/12u: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.


The Dirt Dawgs are looking for athletes & their parents who are interested in joining a TEAM environment. We are looking for those who share our integrity and wish to travel next summer representing our organization in a positive manner.

Athletes should bring all equipment and be prepared to slide. Catchers should bring their own equipment.

Please allow yourself enough time to register your child prior to their age group start time. Stretching & warm ups should be done individually prior to start time.

There is NO FEE for tryouts.

What is tentative schedule for 2014 for 12u? I don't need list of tourneys just how many? When plan on practicing etc? Thank you!

While nothing is in stone yet, both the 11u & 12u will likely play in one fall tournament and 7-8 spring/summer tournaments. The 11u will play in one or two winter indoor tournaments.
Teams will practice twice per week come spring. Once per week in the winter hitting clinics and pitcher/catcher workouts will be offered as scheduled by the coaches. Of course we will look to occassionally schedule scrimmages on practice days come spring.
