Ohio Hawks 00 Villies 14u private or small group try outs[/h]

We will be holding team tryouts for the upcoming 2013-2014 season beginning July 28- August 11. These are individual or small group tryouts.
These are in addition to our organizations tryouts. Every position is open for the upcoming season! Our current roster consists of all players with a birth year of 2000. For the upcoming season we will consider both 1999 and 2000 birth years.

We will play a very competitive schedule with focus on PGF and ASA Nationals. Our current schedule consisted of the following Showcase tournaments, Dayton Metro, Laser's Invitational, Ohio Stingrays Showcase, GAPPS and others.

Our priority is to find a pitcher who is looking to win the number 1 spot in the circle. This person needs to have multiple pitches and is capable of facing some of the best teams in our age group. Second we would like to add depth to the catchers position.
Third we have had a very successful season to date however we are in need of improving our team speed. We are looking for that athlete who can run the bases, go from first to third or score on a hit from second. Also OF experience a plus.

Finally, I am looking for an experienced Coach. That person must have either HS or Club level experience. College experience a plus as a coach or player.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, Aug 10 from 10-noon @ Kettering Fields and Sunday,Aug 11 from 10-noon at Franklin Community Park (Franklin, OH).

Head Coach, Jim Miller: 3 years Franklin Middle School Coach, 2 years Franklin Varsity Asst, entering 3rd year as Franklin Varsity Head Coach (2 year record 41-8), 6 years travel ball coaching experience (12U-18U), SWBL 2013 Coach of the Year, Miami Valley Newspapers 2013 Coach of the Year.

Asst Coach, Brett Sadler: Non-Parent Coach, 5 years Head Varsity Coach Springfield North, GWOC/Clark County/Springfield Sun Coach of the Year, NFCA 2 1/2 Star Master Coach, 3 years Wittenberg Asst Coach, 12 years travel ball coaching experience.

Team will play ASA and USSSA schedule. Focus will be on player development.

OHIO HAWKS 99 DAVISLooking for dedicated, hard working athletic players to fill out our roster. Must have great attitude, great work ethic, and MUST be a team player. We will expect a lot from you both physically & mentally--if you want to be pushed to perform at your highest level and have fun doing so, consider our team during your tryout season. We need a catcher who is also able to play another position as you will share time behind the plate with one other. We are also looking for a hard throwing pitcher to fit into our rotation & we need a couple of Infield/Outfield utility players. 18U Ohio Hawks-Lasley
Try-outs will be held Saturday August 10 and Sunday August 18 at Kettering Fields starting at 10:00 a.m. Please arrive early for registration.
If you are not able to attend one of these try-out dates, then feel free to email me and we will set up a private try-out.

For the upcoming season I am looking for a strong pitching staff, a short stop, first baseman, and speedy outfielder. I however, am looking for utility players and looking at all positions.

I want girls who are willing to work hard and love the game of softball. I will push you to be a better player. I strongly believe that all of my players should know how to play infield and outfield, you never know the needs of a college team recruiting and they may change an infielder to an outfielder or vise versa.

A little bit about me...Tami Lasley
I was a 1st team all state pitcher for 2 years at Northmont High School as well as Player of the Year. I pitched 4 years at Urbana University and there I got Most Valuable Pitcher and 1st Team All Independent, along with making the record books. I have been a head coach for 6 years now, Bustos Ultimates, Montgomery County Hammers, Ohio Hawks, Shawnee Braves, and helped Urbana University as well.

We will be playing in fall exposure tournaments, Top 50 fall exposure Indianapolis Indiana, Best of the Best Massilon Ohio, and Lasers fall exposure

Along with playing this fall, I am going to be holding speed and agility classes. Gaining speed and staying in shape helps prevent injuries as well as taking your game to the next level.

As for the summer I am going to play an exposure schedule...Lasers, Dayton Metro, Best of the Best, GAPSS, as well as a nationals.

OHIO HAWKS-Combs 16u We are looking to add a pitcher with speed who can move the ball along with a catcher who can play other positions and is willing to share time behind the plate, as always speed and a strong bat are a plus. Hawks 01 Robinson 12u

We are very excited about this team and have high expectations for 2013-2014! 01 Robinson played as an all 11u team this season and can't wait to see what we can do as a second year 12u team!! We will be playing a very competitive schedule including applying to high level tournaments like Laser's and Stingray's as well as securing a berth for and competing in Nationals.

We are returning a large core of girls from last season all of which are willing and able to play multiple positions. Because of the flexibility we have, we are looking at all positions including the addition of another pitcher and or catcher. 14u Ohio Hawks 99 Heidorn

We are looking for dedicated players that are focused on working hard and getting better.

We have a solid core of returning players (Formally Hawks Harrell) We won 2 tournaments his past season. We are looking to add a few impact players. Players that can hit/slap, run, field and or pitch. Players that will practice hard, compete for positions, and expect to win.

We will play a very competitive schedule including:
Dayton Metro
Lasers
Fire in the Sky
Buckeye Showdown
GAPSS
Nationals

We will practice usually once a weekend in the Fall for 3 to 4 hours, and every other weekend in the winter. We intend to play in two Fall tournaments and One indoor early Spring tournament (Likely Ft Wayne).

I will be happy to set up a private tryout if need be.

My DD played for Coach Miller at Franklin High School, and is a wealth of knowledge on everything softball. He motivates and encourages young ladies the right way, getting more from them than they know is there. My DD has also had the privilege of training with Coach Lasley. She teaches and coaches from personal experience, and never asks a player to do anything she can't demonstrate. Her resume is impressive as a non-parent coach, but she is even better in person. Most importantly, parents and players alike, will be better people for learning from these fine coaches.

OHIO HAWKS SMALL 98 - 2014 Tryouts for 16U:

We have a very strong core of players returning to a team that was VERY successful last year. We have girls that can play multiple positions and are looking at ALL positions at tryouts, even though we are only adding a few players to the team. We have very experienced coaches, including a Capital University player who is helping coach and develop the skills of the team. We will be at both Columbus tryout sessions. We are also holding private tryouts for interested players. We do the top of the line tournaments that give the girls college recruitment exposure.
