2014 Tryout Information:
Tryouts for 2014 Ohio Stingrays Junior Olympic teams will be at The Ohio State University's Fred Beekman Park.

Saturday August 10[SUP]th[/SUP]
Session 1 - 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M
Session 2 - 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Sunday August 11th
One Seasion only - 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

You only need to attend one session but welcome to attend multiple sessions.
Please be there 15 mins early for registration or Tryout forms can be found on out web site at www.stingraysfastpitch.com if you wish to fill them out in advance to help speed the process.
If you can not make one of these sessions please contact the appropriate coach to set up a private tryout.

For 9U parents - you will be truly lucky to have Aaron Hall coaching your daughter! He has worked with both of my DDs on hitting for the past year and the results really show. He is great with kids of all ages, and I have never heard anyone say something about him that wasn't praise!

Our 2001 team is having a fantastic season, especially for a team of mostly 11s finishing in the money (Champions or Finalists) in 7 events now. Our approach to tryouts is that every roster spot will be open to competition. We have two 2000 birth year kids who have to move up, one of which is a talented catcher so we will definitely be looking for another catcher. The Ohio Stingrays 10u will be holding tryouts for the 2013-2014 season on Aug 10th and Aug 11th at Beekman Fields on OSU campus. (See full tryout details here http://www.stingraysfastpitch.com/ )

With 4 of the girls from the team aging out and moving up to 12u, I have some key spots to fill, including an assistant coach, who also moves up with his daughter. I would like to have the Asst Coach role filled prior to tryouts. My goal for the 2013/2014 Stingray 99 team (14u) will be to build on a very talented group of returning players to establish a college exposure/prep program. We will play a heavy showcase type schedule including ASA/PGF qualifiers. We are looking for a #1 pitcher, 1 infielder and several outfielders. Stingrays '96 (Team Leedy) is coming off of a 5 loss summer. ASA State Champions, 2nd Place at PGF Midwest Showcase, Undefeated at Chicago Sparks Invitational. Will be evaluating all talent. Primary need is speed, utility types.

This season the Ohio Stingrays will field 13 teams, 2- 10 U - 2 in each of the others 12 through 16, 4 - 18U three here in Ohio, 1 Gold team – and 1 - 23U team. We are entering our 30[SUP]th[/SUP] season of elite play and hold one of the premier summer showcase tournaments on the east coast. Over 100 colleges and universities attend the event this year.

I want to thank everyone who came out for the 2001 team this past weekend. Turnout was the best its ever been for the 2001 team and as of yesterday our roster is full. I know we had to pass on a lot of very good players and want to wish everyone the best of luck this coming season and please tryout again next year.
