Cedar Rapids, Iowa -- The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced today its major softball awards and the 26-member All-Conference team for the 2018 season. For the second-consecutive season, Coe College's Haley Jones (Sr., Waterloo, Iowa / Waterloo West) was named A-R-C Position Player of the Year. Pitcher of the Year honors went to three, as the season was filled with a high level of parity in the circle. Coe College's Alyssa Olson (Sr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa / Cedar Rapids Jefferson) picked up her second Pitcher of the Year accolade while Central's Mariah Fritz (Sr., Tama, Iowa / South Tama) and Wartburg's Maddie Rog (So., Norridge, Ill. / Maine Township South) are earning the award for the first time. The Central College Coaching Staff earned the honor of American Rivers Softball Coaching Staff of the Year to go along with their A-R-C regular and tournament season championships.
