What can you say about this age division this year.

The Heart of Ohio Explosion out of Marysville swept the tournament field not allowing one (1) single run against their opponents.

The first game of the day saw a see-saw battle between Kentucky X-Plosion and Indiana Shockwaves as the game went 9 innings with the X-Plosions ladies coming out on top 14 - 11 . This game set off a series of great games for the day.

I think the best 16U team there played in the 18U division. The Doom 16U team (actually they are mostly 15U) won that age group going away with three shutout wins and they scored something like 22 runs.

Regardig the Stingrays tournament I see no reason why the Heart of Ohio team would not be invited if they apply. They had a solid season last year and they look picked up right where they left off and even improved. They will be a team to watch all next season.

Looks like that Doom 16U team may just be the team to beat in 16U this year. They already handled both Laser 16U teams pretty easily as well as a number of other solid 16U & 18U teams. Their pitching is excellent, they are solid defensivly (and they have been without their regular SS so far this Fall), and most importantly they simply hit the ball with authority.

whole bunch of sharks swimming in that pool ---but they are pretty decent (lol) . They are very solid, they added pitching depth and speed. Two biggies to an already great group. worst group of parents I've ever been around though . serious . .. ...

Absolutely agree with the HOO Explosion getting into stingrays. They have had several years of being a solid team. Also agree about the Doom. Great bunch of kids and good coaches! Nice job Doomers!

Well, if Stingray Tournament Committee turns down the Heart of Ohio Explosion team this year.... well that would be a crime in my book.

They deserve the nod... what a nice team they have indeed.

AND shut out the field they played against.

You can't ask for anything better.
