There are a crap ton in Lancaster, we played in maybe 4 there. 2 at Berliner. 1 in Lebanon. 1 in Dayton. 2 in Athens. I think Beavercreek had quite a few too. There should be no problems finding good tourneys in or near central Ohio.
We are having an 8U Division as part of the 3rd Annual Mason Thunder Fall Classic on Sunday, 10/19!!!!
Just miles away from Kings Island!!!! PM me or look for our Thread under ASA Tournaments!
Would love to have your team!
The Berliner world series was fun. I went when my dd was 6 years old, so that was 2011, you have to be a serious 8u take every base, type of ball team to compete there. There are some north of you, check Dover or Canal Fulton Tourneys, if you want an over night. The #1 thing that will screw up your team is knowing when the ball is dead, some tourneys will be in the circle and others say any infielder who has the ball and throws up arms calling time.
KAOS in the HILLS tournament down in Logan. Its a NSA WSQ 3gg. We are needing some more 8u teams.
My contact info is: Jeff Hill (740)974-4016 email: lancasterkaos@gmail.com
Hope to hear from you soon!
I will first say that the LGSA in Lancaster along with Bill and Mendy Moore have been huge in getting our 8u-cp program to where it is. The reason is they follow our rulebook to the letter for this division so that there is as much consistency across the board whether the event is in Lancaster, Columbus, Logan, or Cincinnati.
Here is the NSA rule:
When the defensive team stops the progress of the lead runner, the umpire will call time out and the play will be stopped. When the ball is in possession of a defensive player within the the 16' circle, any runners between bases must immediately advance to the next base, and one base only, or return to the last base touched. If the runner fails to return or advance immediately, the umpire will call time out and the play will be stopped. Baserunners do not have to be on base to establish stopping of progress. (This be in the judgement of the umpire)

I hope I'm not hijacking here, I still care about 8u b/c I have a '12, that's not a typo she's 2! I'm glad to see NSA has 8u rules written down in the rule book, what about ASA, any written rules in the rule book? Just trying to keep current, 8u will be here before we know it, lol!
