Dave,

I understand your reluctance to post or reply to post and will probably at some point regret my posting activity of recent days on this site, BUT HERE GOES!!

It is unfortunate the way things sometimes go on these sites, real or imagined personal insults or slights, are used as justification for attacks that when undefended seem to be fact, I commend you for your restraint and for sticking to the facts in your reply.

Any reasonable person can read the truth and the honor in your words.

Congratulations on a great season and good luck at nationals, the prospects for Ohio teams at the nationals are exciting, my experience here in Ohio is limited, maybe one of the "oldtimers" can tell us. Has there ever been such a multitude of really great teams with the exceptional pitching we are seeing? At ALL age levels too!

While the base for this has been building with years of hard work and practice, I really feel that the Southern Force from Illinois and their championship last year in Gold, and then Michigan's college world series victory has fueled a "we can really do this" mindset east of the Mississippi.

Keep doing what you are doing, and don't worry about the detractors, the vast number of members on this site that are silent, know that this type come and go, mostly back under the rock they came from.

Good luck and have fun with it none of us really know how blessed we are to have these experiences, the good and the bad, and how many people truly have a chance to affect a young persons life the way we do.

>:( You must be kidding, ignorant, spiteful or just plain not paying attention, if you think Sting is slouch team!

I met Dave many years ago at a softball tourney. ?He, Valley Sting and ALL of their teams have always carried themselves with the utmost class and always given 100% hard play!

They have earned respect and should be given it!

I look forward to seeing our Sting friends on the weekends and on the fields!

Having been involved in fastpitch for 20 years and coaching for more then 6 years. I have had the pleasure of playing many Ohio organizations as well as some of the regional and national powerhouses. The Valley Sting teams have always been very well coached and played the fundamentals of the game as good as any team on a national basis. When you play a Valley Sting team there is no looking past them in the bracket. If you do you will either drop to the losers bracket or you will be eliminated from the tournament. Our team always liked playing them because they brought so much passion to the game. It was a joy to beat them and heart break to lose to them as you would have to invest so much of yourself to come out on top.

Good Luck at ASA Nationals Valley Sting. You have earned it.

Cliff congratualtions on qualifying for ASA Nationals. Represent Cincinnati and Ohio well. I truly believe Ohio is finally earning the recognition we deserve from playing the toughest schedules on a national basis. College coaches are now focusing their efforts on getting the top talent here and forsakeing the lower tier players from out west to fill their rosters.

Since when did this site all of a sudden bcome a contest of who can cut down another team the best. OO...Stinker, really cute to use my initals.

And on my last post, I'm not making excuses, in these tournaments as stated by cyclone, they are hanging in every game, they just need a little more focus and there right there. Mabe you should stop drowning yourself in your own self pitty and excues, I have better things to do with my life.
Yes, maddogs are a good oragization, so are the sting, and there's many more in ohio, which is good for college and ohio period.

And yes, I believe they can compete with any team. As long as they play for full seven innings and focus, they can play with anybody. And just becuase they won one tournament, which happened to be there own, doesn't really matter to me, they play to win every tournament.
