My daughter and husband attended and also had raving reviews on how well the entire tournament was run. It was also a nice change as they did not have long distances between the two complexes they played at.

From hearing everyone's raves on the USSSA tournament, I almost wish my team would have gone there! Im sure we would have come up with the big trophy!
But I was just wondering...are the sliderz and the ?shockwaves, that did so well, younger sixteens? cause if they arent, its ridiculous that an older team would go to USSSA nationals! P.S. congrats to the girls who won all tournament team...I, for one, know the feeling from previously winning it myself, and its great that USSSA offers the awards!!!

The Shockwave team that won the tourny is a first year 14U team. The number one pitcher is second year 12.

Pigtails,
Yes, the Shockwaves were actually a 14-U team and the Heart of Ohio Sliderz are a 15-U team. But why would you say that "it would be ridiculous that an older team would go to the USSSA Nationals" ??

Also, the Ohio Wave team was essentially a 15U team with two players who have to move up next year.

I am not sure what was meant by pigtails comment but I think that any team that feels they have a shot at going to a national tournament and competeing should take the oppertuntiy. The compitition in Columbus Indiana was very good, and I can tell you that the final 4 or 5 teams that were playing could play with anyone.
