Why can't they get a coach? Seems others have filled positions. I heard this weekend that they are also having issues with the football and volleyball coaches? What is going on over there? Hope they find someone soon for you. Good Luck this season.

He is a history teacher from Hyre middle school as well as their softball coach he is the asst. softball coach@ Mogadore and i think he coached @ East high school

More specifically, coached softball since 97. Before that coached baseball. Resurrected East HS with help of a good pitcher. Last 4 years worked with pitchers and catchers at Mogadore.
Had great athletes at Moggy. Wonder what he'll do at Hoban with little ptching???

Abby Morrison, probably the best one. City Series Player of the year in 2002, I think. She played college at Walsh. He also had another pitcher named Aschelman who got hurt i think.
the one thing he was able to do at east was take athletic kids and teach them how to play softball.

I was told today that Hoban might not be able to field a JV team this season. Any information? Is it just a matter of enrollment falling?

Probably too early to tell. basketball teams still playing and can't do anything with softball. OHSAA official start date is Monday, 2-20. New guy has practice scheduled and announcements made at school. No idea how many kids will show up Monday. Wait and see i guess.

No JV this year. Enrollment is not down. Word is a lot of kids who had played in the past just did not want to play this year. The new guy gets to try and build the program back up. Wish him luck.
