Thank you so much for all the love!!! I'm super excited to become an official Ohio citizen!!!!! I will be completely moved in and ready to start training mid September. I had my mom bring me ALL the winter clothes possible! Compared to Orlando, FL, I'm pretty sure I won't be swimming outside on Christmas day this year!!!!

Welcome to the family! You can swim on Christmas day and it is called the polar bear club....break the ice and take the plunge :lmao:

See you soon Howard :D

Will Micaela provide the lessons in Akron or Cincinnati?

Micaela will be doing lessons in Akron and Cincinnati both. If you are interested in setting something up you can PM me or send me an email at gotbustos@gmail.com

We can also set up a team workout or mini clinic if a team or smaller group is interested in a workout but she is also available for a one day or weekend clinic.

How about getting the Akron Racers ladies to put their clinics or contacts about clinics... in the Akron Racers section of the OFC. So much easier for the teams to find them so the Ohio teams can support the ladies of the Akron Racers !!! Since they are the biggest supporters of the girls who play this game.

I looked into doing that, since we now have two more of the Racers players with the group. I think when they list clinics in their section they are clinics that the whole Racers Organization are involved in and ours are just a few players. The only thing I could think was maybe they didn't want people to think every clinic listed would include the whole team and then show up and see it's just a few players. Maybe we can figure out a way to promote both in that section.

If we keep this in one thread... the Ladies of the Akron Racers can list themselves and their contact numbers here in this thread and it will be so much easier to locate them and contact them for clinics.

Please do not post in here and let the players post so we can make it a "clean" and easy thread for teams to contact the Racer ladies for clinics.

Support our Racers ladies !!!!!!!!

This forum is the "people's forum".. and not directly involved in the Akron Racers website in no way, shape or form.

I started a thread in there. Problem listing in the general section of the OFC.. is finding a thread for a player holding a clinic after a couple of weeks... because we have so much to talk about concerning softball..... LOL.. and new threads are made each and every day and then next thing you know.. it is six pages back. Then 10, then ... well you get the picture.

Micaela,

Trying to get the arrangements made for you to come to the Uniform Blowout in Goshen in October for the girls here. I have to secure a location for the clinic in case of rain. I speak with a location in the morning .

I want you attend soooooooo bad for the girls..... in SW Ohio and teams attending the Uniform Blowout.

Wow, Micaela. You are burning up the bat these past seven days... .571 SLG percentage and only one error all season. Impressive.

Can I ask... What was the biggest transition from your senior year of college at the University of Missouri to your rookie season with the Racers?

Secondly, wow on P Lisa Norris. Leads the league in wins and a stunning ERA. Did you ever face her when she was at North Carolina?

Best pitcher you faced all year at the plate in your rookie year in your opinion? Obviously, the pitchers are trying to pitch around you.

Taking 40 girls only... for 20 in the morning and 20 in the afternoon BOTH DAYS.

Must be full to be able to have it .. as it just covers the cost. What a great opportunity to have small sessions.

Bigger is NEVER better when it comes to Clinics.

Working on Micaela being in Cincinnati/Fairfield area Sept 20-23. Anyone who is interested in setting up something during that time send me a PM or emal. Great chance to meet Micaela and let her get to know some of the local girls.

For those who are not as familiar with Micaela as others she brings a lot of talent and versatility to the girls and is available for lessons on:
Hitting, slapping, 1B, outfield and infield

Half hour or hour lessons available.

email at: gotbustos@gmail.com or xstitchncrafts@sbcglobal.net

If it don't start filling up soon.. as I am doing this at cost for the parents and the girls.. I will have to cancel it.

Bottom line is it a great opportunity at a very reasonable cost compared to any other in this state as well as small class sessions.. so the girls get more of that one on one feeling instead of being one of 65 !!!!

I know of no other that keeps the class size small like the one we are having in Goshen. Or the price of $50.00 for two three hours sessions both days.

Problem is.. too many coaches and parents wait to long and the opportunity is missed because of it.

The Akron Racers lost game 3 yesterday afternoon to the USSSA Pride. Championship is between The Chicago Bandits and USSSA Pride. Game one went to the Pride. Game 2 being played today. Jennie is pitching what could be her last game in the NPF.

The Racers had a great season considering the fact that the only player with experience on a National team was Crystl Bustos. They put together a great team this year, not only on the field but off. These ladies were so friendly to the fans before and after the game. If you have never been to one of their games you should try to make it.

It will be different next year not seeing Crystl and Jennie play but at least we are lucky enough here in Ohio to have Crystl coming for lessons and the clinic in October.

Bandits won game two 7-1. Game three to decide who takes home the ring! Cat will be pitching for the Pride though heard she has only been allowed around 20 pitches at least up through yesterday do to her injury. Should be an exciting game!
