Another great day for Wright State!

Another huge success today as around 70 girls participated in Wright State's summer hitting camp. The girls learned key fundamentals in hitting including, load and gathering, push, and lockout. I can't tell you how much improvement I saw in just 3 hours. I highly recommend anyone wanting to take their game to the next level, that you sign up for these Wright State Camps. Coach Larabee and his staff are amazing. They take time with each player and care for the game as much as anyone I know. Look for more camps/clinics coming this winter.
;D :eek: :cool: ::)

I agree it was an outstanding camp at a great facility. It was tremendous to see 70+ players work hard for over 3 hours. Way to go Coach B and staff!!!

My wife took my DD to this camp and she came home all excited with all the new things she picked up. When you go to these camps your DD meets the girls she plays against and make new friends. That is what makes traveling ball so special.

I agree with all the positive posts here, too! My daughter really enjoyed herself at this camp and was so psyched about all she learned. Mike Larabee is a great motivator!

Was this camp at the new Athletes in Action campus/sports facility in Xenia? I hear the fields are quite exceptional with their artifical turf.

Yep, it was at Athelets in Action. An unbelievable facility! There is more artifical turf than I've ever seen in one place! :eek:

We were at the 3 day camp. I'm told that they spent somewhere between 7-8 million dollars on all of the fields (2 softball, 1 baseball, 1 football, 2 soccer). The double soccer field is supposed to be the largest single piece of field turf in the northern hemisphere.

sounds like a great place to have alot of quality indoor softball leagues and winter tournaments this coming year. maybe bump up the quality of play for us southwest ohio teams. or at least play where we can have a right or left field, where in Xenia is this?

There isn't anything indoor, although they are building a basketball center. I forgot to mention that they have a couple of outdoor volleyball courts set up; they are field turf too!!!

AIA is located right off of route 68 and north of the 35 loop.

took my daughter and her friend to this camp.....dd has been hitting well this year, but her friend has struggled....BOTH girls came back with some amazing tips and some great one-on-one help to improve both.
it was terribly hot, but i don't think they noticed that much at all.
funny to see bits of turf coming up when the balls hit it.....i walked on it and was surprised to see how soft it was. it was a great complex.
