Another update for the 14-u: Spirit Black beat the ohio ice to make it into the championship but it got rained out before they got to finish so i can't tell u who won NSA A's yet for the 14's.

the 16s lost in the finals of the winnerfs bracket 4-1 to a team out of georgia now everything is on hold till tomorrow.

Ice player just saying that i think phillies are going to win. We lost to both the fillies and the spirit and i think the better team is the fillies. ( no offense spirit is a great team) Last i heard the game got rain delayed last night and the fillies were winning 2-0. not sure what inning but i think they were finishing up the game this morning. Keep me posted on who wins.

It started raining in the 3rd inning. The game was supposed to be this morning at 9 but the feilds were in too bad condition so they called the whole thing and since spirit came out of the losers braket they gave them 2nd place and the fillys 1st. I just wish we could have settled it out on the feild instead :-/

Chattanooga Filly's were awarded 1st place for 14U since they were out of winner's bracket when the last two days were rained out. They were a great team and deserved the championship, played all 16U tournaments this year and only lost a total of 3 games! They crushed everyone at the tournament except Ice White and Spirit Black, says a lot for our region's teams. Toughest thing was to have the award presentation directly behind a field that had a game going on when the fields were "too bad to play on" for our age bracket???? Field maintenance was great during the week and handled a ton of rain on Saturday, but really fell down at the end.

Great to see two of the final three 14U's from this area. Congratulations to all the girls who participated in NSA World Series for a great job at a tough tournament.

Congratulations to both the Pittsburgh Spirit and Ohio Ice White teams for representing our area so well at NSA A Nationals.

Congratulations to the Pgh Spirit and Ice White on their outstanding performances at NSA "A"! ?We had the opportunity to play both teams this summer and they are both extrememly talented and well coached.

Ptwboom: ?They actually had a game in progress on another field during the trophy presentation? ?Did you offer to play on that field when the other game was finished...I'm sure the girls wanted to have it decided on the field.

Things were getting pretty heated and several teams were upset about not getting a chance to play. There was a 10U game being played at 1 of the 5 fields and they had not touched the others. As far as I could tell, that was the only game played. It did rain later that morning (10:45), but everyone could have at least gotten 1 game in and decided things on the field. Play them all or cancel them all, but the way they did it was pretty poor.

I'm sorry to hear that but it's not that surprising when you know that it's NSA's nationals. ?They already made their money.

Tournament was well run up to the end and they busted their butts on Saturday with a ton of rain and did try to get the games in. Also handled 104 degree heat early in the week well, we were just disappointed with this morning, they should have canceled all the games.

Talk about luck of the draw, just saw the final rankings and 8 of our 12 games were against top 9 finishers, including 4 against the top 3 teams and 6 against the top 5. Well, kids wanted to play good competition. Makes me even prouder of the effort they gave.
