It was disappointing to see the post from lazersb.
When the point becomes who "we" play for, and not why "we" play, then it sounds like the treadmill that I will strive to keep my daughter off when she arrives in high school. Softball is not a popularity contest, where only the "cool" kids are important.
The Lasers are a very competitive organization, with demonstrated success. Enough said.
But they aren't for everyone.
My daughter plays for a good organization. Our success is - frankly - less than Laser teams experience. However, she continues to develop as a person and as a player.
Lazersb, if you are a player, then all I can say is - one day you will grow up and understand the difference between being proud to be in an organization vs. running down other organizations to make yours look more important.
If you are a parent, my advice is more direct. Get a life.
This is softball. That is not the same thing.
