Congratulations to the Classics! Way to make Ohio proud! It was great to see all the Ohio teams pulling for each other the last few days! This was a well run tournament, the parks were beautiful, and I know we had a great time!

I think that of the final 8 teams in the 16U, 4 were from Ohio. ?

Ohio Classics
Elyria Sundogs
Stingrays Cottrell
Cincy Tribe

Please correct me if I'm wrong!
Phenomenal representation of the Buckeye State!
Congratulations to all!

I know there were two Stingrays 16U teams in the tournament, so I don't know which team played the Spirit, but I know that the Stingrays-Cottrell finished 5th, the Extreme Chaos (I don't know which state) finished fourth, the Sundogs third, Mustangs 2nd, and Classics, obviously, first.

Hope that can clear something up for you.

Congratulations to the Classics Black. WTG!!!!

Still can't figure out the 16U bracket for the Cincy Tribe after they beat the LA Heat, unless there was a team named BYE. Maybe someone can enlighten me. But for the Tribe to win 5 games in the losers bracket, was a fantastic showing. Congratulations girls and coaches!!!! GO TRIBE!!!!!

Coach Tig, Try this site www.heraldonline.com. They have a story that may answer your question.

Les, the brackets are really messed up on line. We never played the LA Heat. On Friday we beat the Carolina Curve and Mattoon Pride in our first 2 games and lost a heartbreaker 1-0 to the Pittsburgh Spirit Gold to be eliminated. We had a great week and I am very proud of our girls and all the Ohio teams. Thanks for your continued support.

16u I heard Tampa got back to the championship and beat the classics 3-1. And then the Classics won the second 2-0. The info came from someone there and they said it was an unbelievable week for the Classics. So many great plays and the girls were so happy to bounce back and win a National Championship. The Ohio teams were very supportive to each other and even came to watch and cheer them on. I know 3 or 4 of these girls on the 16u classics and nobody deserves it more. They work their butts off going to camps, showcases, hitting instructors, and long practices. I hope you girls take a moment and realize what you have accomplished. Congrats Kelly, Jess, Marrissa, Kaitlyn and all the Classics. You to Dave great Win for the Organization. You have always been Classy now you are Classy with a BIG TROPHY

Nice job Classics, glad to see an Ohio team win it.
I also echo the sentiments of everyone else by stating that the Ohio teams had a great showing and pulled for each other in the tourney. I'd also like to expand on the "4 Ohio teams in the top 8" comment by saying that the Sunraze finished "tied for 9th"....so we can say 5 in the top 9 right? :)

The NSA bracket info is messed up as our team (Sunraze 16u-Black) lost a heartbreaker to the Louisiana Heat 1-0 in 8 innings and I believe the Heat lost to the Stingrays in the next game. Mattoon lost in the same round as we did but I don't know who they played.

I was not aware of the connection between FL.Rays and the Central Ohio Stingrays.

Yea I am an oldtime Stingray. It gets in your blood - that is why we moved the Stingray Nation down here to Orlando. Our first venture into the NSA WS and a top 8 finish - not bad!!

DAVE - congrats! Your hard work and dedication has always been noticed by those of us in the area - now the NSA world sees it!!

I can honestly say I have never seen anything like this before. The "Ohio" teams were extremely well represented. Everyone watched and cheered for each other and Ohio teams without a doubt finished extremely strong. The support was also on OFC as well.

What a run. I do not get to watch many of coach Beckham's games with his 16U and my oldest daughter. I coach a younger team with my 13 year old. WOW!!!

While the Ohio team finishes were very impressive, you also have to like the sportsmanship, camaraderie and support by rival Ohio teams for other Ohio teams.
Ohio teams, by their actions, are earning a very nice reputation for the Buckeye State.
Congratulations to all teams who represent Ohio!
