glad our ohio teams were not afraid of the challenge but it doesnt look like we are fairing too well -- hopefully bracket play today will be fruitful. I admire the Hawks and Static for maqking the investment MD

Static went 1-3. Kavin is on way home tomorrow. They are happy with the teams they faced. Close games. He did run rule one team.

Just got back - long drive & a disappointing result for us. The Arizona team had just won their 16U State championship the week before. We did not get the clutch hit when needed - which was the theme all weekend for us - unlike the previous week in the Dayton Metro. Couple of erros in the sixth costed us & we lost 5 -3. Second game lost to the Birmingham Vipers 3-2 - again left several runner on base (10 in total) & a runner on third twice w/ one out. Beat the Sioux Falls team 15-0 - the only game we hit when needed. Lost 4th game to the Orland Sparks 6-3 - left 11 runners on base again.

There is no doubt we were right with each team but we did not produce (in my heart I sincerely believe we should not have lost one of those games) - Ohio teams are right there. The biggest thing I noticed facing these teams versus our 3 state area teams was in pitching. Not speed either, there were only a few girls throwing equal to or a little better than my pitchers speed as most were 54-55 but w/ a ton of movement & were willing to throw any pitch on any count.

Not one HR was hit through Saturday by anyone.
