The Medina HEAT finished tied for 9th with a record of 5-2. We had a great time, and our girls played some good ball against some very good teams during the tournament. Our two losses were to the Ohio Swarm and West Seneca Magic (NY). We had an fantastic come from behind victory against the New Era Diamond Girls right before we got knocked out by the Magic.

The Cincy Storm finished 2-3 for the week and had a great time in PA. The weather was great. With the exception of a 10 minute downpour on Thursday there were no issues - and the fields were playable when it stopped. It was a great experience as for most of our girls it was their first Nationals. We learned a lot and look forward to building for a deeper run next year. Only negative was when one of the grandparents tried to jump the speed table - she left part of her Saturn in PA that morning...

A special thanks goes out to Taylor M (and Dad Ron) from the Ohio Blast who guested with us this week. She pitched well and hit .636 for the weekend. She will be a force to be reckoned with next year in the 14U, glad we are moving up and don't have to play them again!

Marion Merchants Black finished 3 wins and 2 loses for the weekend. Fields were in very good shape and all had nice temporary fences. TD ran a well organized tournament, and my girls had a blast. we only took 10 girls and they became very close over the weekend, a very good team building experience. Congrats to MC Madness who put us out, very nice team that can hit the ball, nice meeting you feisty mom. anybody know how my friends on the Medina Heat and Ohio Swarm finished. Both are excellent teams. Ohio was well represented this weekend.

Thanks coach and let me tell you, your team hits the ball hard too! I cannot tell you how much fun I had coaching this game offensively. It was the biggest "chess" match I have been in during my 16 years of coaching. I hope your girls know what a phenominal group of kids they are and we look forward to keeping in touch!
