When did the sites for the 14u and 16u eastern nationals change?

The original announcement had 14u in Sterling, VA and 16u in Findlay, OH. This was also what the ASA website had listed when I looked in the fall when I was researching and setting up our schedule for fall and this summer.

I was just browsing again and see 14u is now in Findlay and 16u now in Sterling.

We qualified in the fall for 14u Eastern and was looking forward to heading to Virginia. Now our plans have to change!! I know some including myself are going to be disappointed not heading out of state to Virginia for our final tournament of 2015!

thank you for posting this. I didn't even realize. Not happy right now with this change-so I'm not going to post anymore words for a little bit.

I wonder if it had anything to do with originally having 2 14U Nats in VA - ASA Eastern in Sterling and ASA/USA in Salem...

You can use your berth for any ASA territorial national (e.g. Northern Nats in Bowling Green, KY).

I know you can use it for any. Unfortunately Northerns in Bowling Green, KY are not the same week. They are a week earlier and we are already scheduled in another tournament that conflicts.

I just sent an email to the TD for the easterns because there are two different dates for Easterns (depending on where you look on the website or tournamentASA.com). ASA wants him to do in On July 22nd, but the fields are scheduled for July 29th for Easterns. I spoke to him and he says that he is waiting for ASA to apporove the date change to the 29th.Just in case anyone is still planning on going to Easterns in Findlay, I wanted to keep you up to date on what I was told by TD. He said to plan for the 29th becasue the fields are already booked for the 22nd and it definitely won't happen then, but that nothing was definite.

So I will just put in for two whole weeks off of work. What is horrible is that most vacations have to be put in during January for summer (at least mine is). So I actually had to put in both sets of dates in case we end up going to ASA/USA. Ugh-got to love being a head coach in travel ball. It never ends.
