Xpress took 5-4 lead in top of the 8th. Runner on third, 2 out slap to third that the batter legged out.
Error bug reared it's ugly head and allowed the Shamrocks (VA) to tie it up and eventually win.

Buckeye Heat Toledo won 5-0 over Bayside Blues (MD). In the loser's bracket late - Classics Black lost to Indy Dreams 5-0 and Doom lost to San Diego Renegades 3-2. Keep it up Lasers, Tidalwaves and Heat! p.s. My husband had nothing but good things to say about how they are running this tourney. Complete games, play 'til winner in pool play, ***watered, raked and lined fields for EVERY game even if running behind.***

Just a couple of observations about the last 32 teams in the winner's bracket:
There are 16 states represented. Georgia has 7 teams thru, California has 5, Arizona and Ohio have 3 each and Texas and Illinois each have 2. States with 1 team in are SC, IN, MS, AL, OK, WA, KY, FL, OK, and CO.
Only 10 of 15 ASA Regions are represented (none from reg 1 -3, 8 or 11.) The most prevalent are: Region 13 (AZ) has 4 teams advanced of the 7 entered for 57%. Region 4 (GA -SC) has 8 of 21 teams for 38%. Region 11 (IL) has 3 of 11 for 27% and Region 9 (OH - VA) has 3 of 12 teams for 27%.
Notable: Region 14 (CA) only advances 5 of 29 teams for a paltry 17%.
If you look at Ohio alone we have 3 teams of the 8 entered for 37.5%.
So........ college coaches pay attention! Maybe it's time to quit being so fascinated with California. Ohio and Georgia have arrived!
