For all of you rules fanatics out there, I received an email today for the ASA Rulebook App.

ASA/USA Softball Mobile Apps

I am in no way endorsing it, just passing the info along.

$15 a year seems a little too much.

That app really needs to be free.

Thats same $$ as paperback version you should get upon sanctioning. USSSA, NSA you can get free playing rules online...

I had the app last year and have to admit I didn't use it. I've been using the print version for so long, I could find it faster in the book. However, since ASA doesn't sell the books, the app is good for parents and even assistant coaches if they don't get one from their sanction. Having said that, I understand the $15 'cause they had to build the app (web page really) but... not $15/year.

I think I would just ask one of the 11 or 12 dad umpires in the stands what the call should be they seem to know all the rules or what the call should be. lol
