ASA Sanction & Fall 2006

Hope someone can help me out with this since it's the first time we've decided to play in a fall tournament. :) First of all, I assume your ASA sanction number will cover you through the end of the year, right? Now, what if your team was sanctioned as a 12U team, but will need to move up for the 2007 season and also needs to play as a 14U in the fall tourney... do we need to get a new sanction number since our roster will change from 12U to 14U and we will be adding a few new players?
Thanks for the help!

Your sanctioning is good for all of 2006 for your current roster. If you are playing in a fall tournament which is a qualifier, normally you would be ok, but I am not sure because you are moving up. Best thing to do is call your local ASA commissioner.

It is my understanding if you are playing in a qualifier for the 2007 season you will play in the age level you will be next year. You can play under your sanction you have now but you have to buy a new one for the 2007 season anyway and use that one with the berth you win.

We did that 2 years ago.
