Young Softball Players Invited to Join AU Eagle Diamond Club

The Ashland University softball team will again be providing the opportunity for girls in grades 2 through 8 to join the Diamond Club.
Diamond Club members will participate in a pair of clinics, where they will learn fundamentals of the game from AU head coach Sheilah Gulas, her staff and the Eagle players. The clinics will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 23 at Brookside West. In the case of inclement weather, the clinics will be moved to the Ashland University Field House.
On April 23, when the Eagle softball team hosts conference rival Lake Superior State, Diamond Club members will be introduced with the AU starting lineup. After the contest, members can take pictures with their favorite players.
Other membership benefits include a member T-shirt, an AU softball schedule card and an autographed media guide.
The basic cost to join the Diamond Club is $65. Family rates are two memberships for $120 and three for $150. Additionally, four players from the same team may register for $200, but all of their registration forms must be sent together.
Girls who wish to attend the clinics only may do so at the cost of $40 per clinic.
