Beavercreek Fall Ball Announcement

The City of Beavercreek has advised me that they WILL NOT be having a fall ball league this year and asked me to thank all the past supporters of the program.. Gary Bush of Beavercreek started the program 12 years ago and it was the first Fall Ball league I am aware of--at least in Southern Ohio. For the first couple of years the teams were comprised of individual sign-ups and Gary and his daughters painstakenly put the teams together while insuring that no more than 4 players were from the same school and that teams had a balance of pitching and catching. Over time, as select fast pitch grew in the area, teams started entering and individual sign-ups dropped off. Over the past several years Fall tournaments and Friendlys have been much more appealing to teams. Thus the decision to stop now. One of the more unusual outcomes of the league is that it was where the Beavercreek Walking taco was initiated.
