As the thread says. Open to hear everyone else's opinions. Strong '06 team looking to finalize spring/summer schedule. Already signed up for Firefighters and will be doing the World Series at Berliner. Here's the short list we have. Feel free to add to it:

Firefighters
Lasers
Stingrays
Fire In The Sky
Cap City Showdown

Fire in the sky is not 10U!

USSSA Elite Invite Marion
Memorial Firefighters
Laser Nation
Stingrays
GAPSS

Then if competitive get out of state and go to TENN or south to play some of the southern teams.

Thanks! I was under the impression Fire In The Sky had a 10U division. Disappointing. I hear it's a fantastic tournament. Appreciate the info on the others!

I'd add the Fastpitch & Fireworks in Pickerington to the list. We went to Pigeon Forge TN for 2 tourneys last season and had a great time. The girls really enjoyed playing teams from TN, GA, WV, and LA.

A thought for the end of your season, have you considered ASA/USA which we are fortunate enough to have played in Findlay, OH this year instead of all sanction? If you can get a bid this will draw more high end teams than will the all sanction this year I believe.

Thanks for the info! What tournaments did you play in at PF?

I'll be sure to look into that. Enjoyed the WS at Berliner last year. One reason we chose it was it helped eliminate lodging cost for parents down due to location. Was that a national? Assume it was since you mentioned obtaining a bid. We are still fairly new to how that entire process works.

The ASA's USA tournament is the highest level national tournament they (ASA) have at the 10U level. Location always dictates which organizations will actually send teams to it, but I'm guessing since it's quite a ways east of the Mississippi this year it should pull some of the better organizations from the southeast. The last time I was at one East Cobb Bullets, Florida Gators, Birmingham Bolts, Texas Glory among others all were represented as well as a few good Ohio teams, and that was in Normal, Illinois. The bid obtaining process can be a little different at 10U. Easiest way is finish high in a tournament that offers a 10U ASA/USA bid. Problem is sometimes there aren't many of those. A couple years ago Ohio had to cancel the ASA state due to lack of teams, not sure what the current situation there is.

Thanks! Noticed in your signature you have one on Lasers Teal. We will see you guys this weekend. Believe we are in the same pool. Should be a good competitive tournament on the 10U side.

In 2016, the Orrville Firefighters Association hosted the 14U Fire in the Sky and the 12U Five Alarm Classic Tournament.

I have seen some of the better second-year 12u teams have entered the 14U tournament in the past. I thought they also had a 16u division at one point.

Here is the link with contact information for the TD. Maybe they will start a younger division if there is enough interest.

I agree with Dad of Daughters. Since the 10U ASA/USA National Championship will be in Findlay from 7/30 to 8/6/17, I would recommend considering the ASA/USA national qualifiers in order to earn a bid, like Dayton Metro, Cinci Metro, ASA States, OFC Heatin it Up, Sheer Madness, etc.

ASA/USA nationals is a best of the best tournie, rather than all sanctioned that lets anybody in.. Getting a bid can be difficult at 10u, though. There aren't many tournies in Ohio that offer that specific bid. Dayton Metro is one, SHeer Madness is another.
It looks like the rest of the list you've got is pretty solid. We are also going to try to go the Beverly Bandits tournie in Chicago as well as ASA State Championship (depending on when/where it is next year). If you are an 06 team, its also a good idea to play up at least 1 time during the season to help prepare the girls for next year.

(And hey,I hear that Crush tourney down in Portsmouth is going to be pretty good this year :p.. See you this weekend)

The TD has done a pretty great job getting teams. It's for a great cause too! Hopefully it only gets better and bigger year after year. 10U division will be some good ball I think. Have some decent programs out of West Virginia coming. He actually he had to turn some 10U teams away. Believe they were out of Lexington Kentucky area. Safe travels to you guys this weekend.

Besides the first 5 or so mentioned, at 10u I liked Maple Leaf East or West (sorry I can't remember which). The Amish showed up on horse and buggy and watched our teams play, but I like quaint things like that.
