best 14u teams in ohio

i would like to know your opinion:who are the best 14u teams in ohio...i am a player looking for a team with a lot of class and a lot of skill

Miami Valley Vipers 14u team is a very good team with alot of good talent. Not just saying that because Im a Viper Coach of the 12's. If you are looking for a good group of girls to have a good summer with you might want to try them.

That's a loaded question. If you are looking for a team, you should be posting a thread in the "Player looking a Team" section.

All of the 14U teams in Ohio will reply to this post saying that they are the best team. I could list some teams/organizations but I will inadvertently forget someone and that will start another war of words. Each team has the same goal - go to the ASA World Series and win the Championship.

If you are researching teams before trying out, I would recommend emailing or Instant Messaging one of the senior members on this forum. JoeA1010, BearMay, Johnnies, Coach Tig, Cincysoftball, or others (I'm forgetting someone so don't beat me up) know just about everyone that deals with Ohio Fastpitch Softball and will give you a good honest appraisal.

Out of couriousity, what position do you play? From what area of the state are you from? What are you looking for in a team?

I think the consensus is list your priorities you need in a team. You should start by posting what area you live or are willing to travel. There are many good organizations to choose from, but you would still have to sell the coaches on your ability as well as your charector.

I'm sure when you list what part of the state you are from, you will get a better idea on where to tryout and go from there.

IMO, 14u is a critical age to honestly decide if your goal is to play in college, and if so, at what level. The path you decide to take will depend on the goals you set for yourself.

I am located in the central ohio area, i am a utility player i can and have played anywhere the coach wants me to play...i enjoy playing the game no matter where i am at...although i prefer playing first and second..i have caught and pitched for 5 years but i am growing out of that, i am looking for a team with a lot of heart and skill, a team that is not afraid to get down and dirty, a team with agressive D and a powerful offense...i am looking for a list of teams that are like this..."The strong take from the weak, but the smart take from the strong."

Wow fpf22, if you want all that you sound like most of the coaches around ohio!!!!!
Where did you play before with that attitude, and how did you get away!!!! Did your other teams not perform to your expectations, what a shame!!!!Maybe you need 12 you's on the team and you will be ok!!!!

I think you should be more realistic and post where players post to get on teams - and good luck with your search, those are high expectations for a team coming from someone not on a team (or let go from a team)!!!!
