Best Bats?

What are some of the best bats to use? I've heard Anderson Rocketech is a good one, but its heavy. Also, I've heard the CF4 is great, but Demarinis break easily. End-loaded just isn't what I'm looking for, but if there's a good bat let me know!

The only DeMarini that has issues is the older style Vandetta. The CF4 and CF5 line is good to go, and a great bat.

I have come to the conclusion that the Rockettech is the bat of choice.

Pros:
- double wall aluminum, they never break.......or hardly ever
- no matter where you hit it on the barrel it is hot, composites have a hot area of 6 inches max and if you do not hit that spot they are dead

Neg:
- only come in drop -9s or less

My 12 (98 big strong girl) used the Demarini CF5 33" drop 10. She has hit that thing a ton all year. She hit one in practice the other day that had to be 240+. Before that she hit an Easton of some sort. Purple composite 32".

My 10U (short 4'6" 90lb, strong ex-gymnast) uses a 31 or 32 Rockettech(she has both). She has a perfect swing. I do not know how she can swing that much bat to be honest. But she has been hitting shots and bombs since she changed from an 2004 Synergy.

The CF5 is the only bat I have ever actually purchased. The rest have been given to them by older girls in the org or one was from a hitting coach.

But if I was buying another bat it would be a Rockettech. Watching my 10U hit that thing is silly. The ball just explodes off that bat.

A bunch of girls on our 14U use the Rockettech and the ones swinging it have multiple over the fence homers. If you are a power hitter I do not think there is anything better.

My DD very proud that she cracked and split her "04" RT until I told her she cracked her RT:eek:

Great bat!

I would bet she is pounding the ball.

I just do not hear of these breaking much. And when they do everyone says things like "she killed that ball" or " she hammered it".

While I see composites break all the time. And it seems PATHETIC to be honest. My one daughter had a Vendetta and it just kind of went dead.......no great boom. Just stopped having any type of pop.

My 10U wants nothing but the RT. She has become a bit obsessive. But the difference is silly.

DD swings a TPS Xeno. Got it for her in May. The ball just rockets off it. Has a different sound then you are use to but I will say it is HOT. She just got her first and second home run in three days.

I know a lot of people like that Xeno. I guess my issue is that is makes that sound(sounds horrible). Plus it is still a composite and has a small sweet spot.

For me that is probably the biggest thing about the RT. It has some much good hitting area. Even if you are jammed or hit it off the end a bit it still has some velocity. While many composites it just kind of plops off the bat.

DD started using a Rip-It Reaper this season and loves it. The hype about the huge sweet spot seems to be true, even mishits are coming off of the bat hard.

Rocketech is the best bat I have ever seen hit a ball. Especially the '04, half my team uses my dd's and there comment when they hit the ball with it was "I didnt even have to hardly swing". This is 12U age group.

My 10U team/daughter has been swinging this all season in the -10 model. I can't believe the hits they have had with it. Legit home runs, not singles with three errors. It seems like when they get a hold of a ball the center fielder always just looks up and starts running.

A parent asked me if the bat made that much of a difference. This is the way I explained it:

Good swing mechanics + fastball + great bat = homerun. Take anything away from that scenario and it changes the outcome.

I have noticed though if they catch one off the end of the bat the ball definitely dies. When they get older and stronger I was going to move them to the -9 version.

My DD started with a 07 RT when she was 7years old. She LOVES them! She now has a 04,05,07 and 2011. But the 04+05 are starting to get old she wants to switch to a CF-4 (-9). She thinks the 2011 RT's are junk, says its not even close to her 04+05! The 2011 only has about 25 hits on it and never with machine first $100 can have it! its a 31"

From a hitting coach prospective. Match the bat to the type of swing your dd has. Next is all mental. Many have small sweet spots and if your kid can handle a small sweet spot like an RT has ,then its the best bat, but it only works for a small percentage of the kids I work with. Most have a great hit ever now and then, but stick a Insane in the same kids hand and the mis hits now are base hits. Some of my kids have had issues with the Rip It. The ASA Bat Certification wears off and the bat then is illegal to use.

Rip-It came out with a new bat, Reaper Lite. It is the end loaded bat, but is a drop 12.

If you're looking for not end-loaded, the Synergy is a very nice bat as well.

DD uses a Rip-It Reaper and loves it. From my perspective she just seems to be making alot better contact than she was last year over her old bat. Maybe the stick or maybe it all just came together for her.
