I am looking for batting gloves that will not fall apart in less than a season. It seems like we buy 3 pairs per season and they don't last ver long. Any hints on getting them to dry correctly, and how to stop them from staining everything they touch. Looking for any suggestions on what to buy, and where.

Nothing beats no gloves and a nice handful of powdery dirt.

One of my two dds agree with this!

The gloves that Crystal Bustos designed. I think they sold out to Wilson but they have lasted so long I haven't had to order any since last year. They've lasted forever but nothing keeps them from stinking like their shoes :)

It truely is amazing how these beautiful ladies can smell so bad, I don't know where it comes from but the shoes, gloves and bags can be used as weapons of mass destruction.

My DD likes Palmguard batting gloves, she goes thru two pair a year one from school ball and one thru summer season. The stinky smell is what it is STINKY:(

I dont like mine to wear gloves. Teach them the proper way to grip a bat then let them get the callouses needed to have hitter hands. They will live with the callouses to hit well

Agree Tim. Mine likes them for base running . Your dd doesn't steal that much hitting them over the fence!

Many of our kids do not use gloves at all.

Mizuno in my opinion, makes the best grip as it provides a cushion grip and even if you do not like the bat the grip sells itself.

Go to a tennis pro shop and there is a variety of grips much more so than the bat grips as some are tackier and some provide more cushion. Besides the shape of the tennis racquet, it is the feel of the grip.

Some girls hands/ fingers can not handle the circumference as grip diameter varies, so the thickness of the grip makes a difference in how the bat feels and that is huge in my opinion. Tennis grips seem to offer more variety as to thickness.

If you do not want the gloves to stink, hang the gloves on the face mask to allow the gloves to dry in lieu of crumpled up in the bag. Also put a Bounce dryer sheet in each glove and they will smell better.

I just asked my 12yo why she quit wearing gloves. Her answer..."I have better control. The bat slips around too much when I wear gloves."
